Btw this page doesn't appear for just any artist that's not touring e.g. I searched "Taylor Swift" and "Lady Gaga" no such page existed for them. Take from that what you will.

Exactly! Like I'm looking forward to a tour this year but a residency would be out of the picture for me. It'll be too expensive. I feel like some of the hive are against a tour because they fear it won't be as profitable or gross as high as Renny and the optics of that….

right cause I remember when she officially announced the Renaissance tour we already knew half of the dates cause some of the venues had already confirmed it  I feel like she has never been mysterious when it comes to tours (probably because it's impossible to keep it a secret, and because a possible leak of the dates would not have any negative consequences). That's why i feel like if it was JUST a tour she would have already said it, there's more coming imo..

The "2025-26" doesn't mean anything tbh. For example Oasis' tour ends in November 2025 but it still says "2025-26" on the website, it does that for all 2025 tours.

Agreed! I've always been of the opinion that it's a tour and act iii single. I think the name of the tour gives it away. If it was just a cc tour leaks wouldn't be a big deal.

In one regard, I deffo feel she's above it. She can do a stadium anytime, any place. So, whether big acts are doing residencies or not, I've never wanted it for her. 

 

At the same time, I'm making increasing peace with the fact that Bey is slowly but surely inching towards legacy act status. 

 

She's playing the game with extreme savvy and is pretty much in unprecedented territory for an act that debuted as long ago as she did. Even by MJ, Whitney, Janet etc standards, she's unrivaled in that they had all had things that dented their pristine run by this age. Hell, even by their mid 30s (even though they are were/are still revered). Bey, by contrast, almost feels like she's getting bigger. Less so commercially, but just the enormity of her cultural cool/currency.

 

At the same time, she's tasked with juggling that with the demands/requirements of her life as a mom and just general older act schtick of "work smarter not harder" (while making massive bank). Something a residency lends itself to.

 

It's weird cus as a younger-ish millennial, I clocked that Bey is the first act I will actually live this happening with in "realtime". 

 

So, I've long been bracing for "the" moment starts to give "legacy diva" moves over her usual "cool" schtick. It's a less a case of "if" but "when". IMO, a residency would be that.

I checked with my VP at Parkwood and she said it's categorically unnecessary to perch today.
