I think it was probably recorded at least a year ago because we heard some of Spaghettii at RWT.

A lot to unpack about the numbers that doesn't neccessarily invalidate some of the early worry, but will - for now - sum it up as: her team definitely knows what they are doing and have done a masterclass in strategy and mitigitating any issues.

I say I like her team because I have never bought into the idea that her operation (or any artist's for that matter) is this pristine flaw-free thing. I think they navigate the drama (e.g the visuals) in ways that others would falter with. 
 

Atm, my conjecture-based theory is that there's been big ish happening behind the scenes. Ranging from an album name change to new tracks after the vinyl pressings. All of which I think factored into that weird month-long window of nothingness. There remains no justification (beyond the fact that something went left) why there was no pre-order. It all incrementally makes sense…now. There was nothing strategy based about that imo. 
 

I still salute her team because imo it seems like the issues above are her-related (changing title, still recording etc). She calls the shots, they follow.

 

So, to contextualise the praise, it's the fact that we stand online are clocking the messiness and know that the 350k easily could have been 550k. But the GP are simply lapping it like nothing left happened. 
 

Because our girl for sure has Lady Luck on her side, the delay with physicals will likely give the album nice legs too. 
 

It's the relative Olivia Pope-ing of it all.
