I actually really enjoy the CR shoot (at least what I've seen so far), in fact it kinda makes me wish she would work with Juergen Teller just so I could see what that would look like

Tbh, I get the appeal of wanting the album cover to have a black background again for the sake of consistency, but I equally wouldn't mind something like this (obviously with a different pose)

 

Ummm I certainly ain’t pre ordering this magazine. Let me scour my local store for the superior Essence mag.

About the photoshoot, I think its generally ill conceived. Styling is okay but feels half-assed and not fully committed. And the blank backdrop and basic lighting is boring. There is not point of view to the photos. Just bland and random. Bey deserves more. CR fashion book would be the time to really serv eand do something striking, and this falls flat. Especially compared to her 2014 shoot which was great. She should have worked with Nadia Lee for this cover, she shot kim k for CR last year.

When you put the BEYONCÉ, The Gift and REN covers together it looks so satisfying (Lemonade just gets in the way ) but yeah if she does it again there's a danger half of her discography will maybe start to look a lil too dark.

Thursdays are when her songs take a slight dip before the friday rise, but Wednesdays are also the days shes supposed to rise. So.... who knows.

Umm, let’s skip the cheap printed backgrounds. Hell let’s skip a studio all together, an outdoor shoot would be most welcome.

could be black drop a la THE, could be a different colored plain background (brown/gold would make most sense given the theme). 

The transition from Plastic to Virgo. It never gets old.

Her discography will grow so much with these 3 albums in such a short space of time that I'm glad she released Homecoming. I think of Homecoming as the album that summarises the first chapter of her discography and everything since EIL/The Gift is part 2 of her discography.

 

If she does another live album so many of those old songs will be bumped for newer ones so I think she did it at the perfect time.
