  • It was the best concert of my life, bar none. Idc!    It was extraordinary, it was ineffable.  I knew I loved it based on the videos but I... Hey I don't know.    Best moment

I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

Energy would be a flop as lead single :rip: It was smart to release BMS and Cuff It as singles (both also ended up as hits)

Energy as the first introduction to the era would've probably tanked the whole thing :deadbanana4: It's a great song, but in context of the album.

I would've been LIVID to see Beyoncé following the trend of super short songs and coming back with a 1:56 minute-long LEAD SINGLE. :biblio:

Energy couldve been the lead single, its short, good, true to her, great live, had a challenge built in, and she loves the song.

Nah, the afrobeats fusion in it would’ve had people livid that she’s rehashing her lion king sound. She needed break my soul to show the gworls she was doing dance music.

But BMS was chosen and that songs sucks, its literally the song I skip when I stream Renaissance, I put the remix in its place.

The ultimate TRUTH.

BMS is one of her worst song lmao I also put the remix in its place.

Energy as a lead single? TUH

BMS was the only choice. It's anthemic. Energy is not.

BMS and Cuff It were perfect as single, reacting to AHAP getting semi-viral was also smart, tho I wished they truly pushed it as a third song. After that, it shouldve been Alien Superstar and then Heated as the song that accompanies the film

do we think she’ll be involved in the soundtrack for that Mufasa movie coming out next year ?

god i hope not :biblio:

100% not.

But I hope who ever does it do not smash with it... the comparisons will be wild :psyduck:

I kinda wish “ALIEN SUPERSTAR” was the #1 NMF song on Spotify to give it an extra push, but, ultimately “CUFF IT” was the better GP-friendlier song. Bey was completely in her ‘06 mind thinking “CHURCH GIRL” would’ve smashed in this climate :gaycat6:

But yes, “AHAP” should’ve at least had a T40/Urban add date. Oh well. :ducky:

Don’t get me started on THEE “HEATED” Forever a fan-fave now. :monkey:

The reaction the outro of Heated got at the film premier shouldve made any sensible Manager go online and directly start pushing Heated globally

The era is basically over though. I understand why she'd want the movie to be swan song and not bother with any other single other than My House.

I also get it, but it also wouldnt have hurt to go for Heated as the one song being featured in the Trailer + sending it to radio afterwards and putting it on TTH. Imho it could morphed into a hit in the beginning of the year seeing the vibe of the song

Era’s are never really over these days. Chris Brown was in a new era and still toured under the name of an old song because it was a (viral?) hit. People stream what they like/is popular not what the artists choose. She doesn’t need to act desperate, which she won’t but it wouldn’t hurt for her to respond to what people want a bit more.
