1) either they just know the deal is happening and just guess what it is (Variety also reported ACT II was coming last year so there’s that)

2) or both will be shown at different times

there’s no way you can assemble a cohesive visual album with a documentary and live concert like :deadbanana4:

these better be 3 entirely different projects or else :rogue:

  • It was the best concert of my life, bar none. Idc!    It was extraordinary, it was ineffable.  I knew I loved it based on the videos but I... Hey I don't know.    Best moment

I think it will. I think they might be confused as to what it is exactly.

Either way, the wait seems to be over AND I think the announcement will be tomorrow at the end of the show.

We may have gotten best case scenario. It will first be shown in theaters and then later probably put on either Netflix or Prime video which both have many users

I will stop posting my worries, at least SOMETHING is happening.

I better be able to use my A-List subscription so I can attend multiple viewings, AND I want the horse as a popcorn bucket.. these are my demands

I wouldn't trust Variety with music news. But Variety and Deadline are both industry bibles for film & tv.

Deadline says it's coming Dec. 1. She wants us to go smelling like her parfum :bird:

Deadline is claiming it’s the tour. I think Variety is guessing

Deadline has learned exclusively that the theatrical release date for Beyonce Renaissance World Tour is looking like Dec. 1, the post Thanksgiving/Black Friday weekend frame which is typically a dead zone at the box office. AMC didn’t respond to request for comment. Interesting that AMC is looking to hit a grand slam in 2023 since the 2024 theatrical release calendar will greatly be shaken up by films pushing due to actors strike. On Dec. 1, 20th Century Studios has the wide release of the Tom Hardy-Jodie Comer-Austin Butler starring, Jeff Nichols directed movie The Bikeriders while Lionsgate has John Woo’s first US film in 20 years, Silent Night. Won’t be shocking if they move.

It’s probably nothing to do with the visuals lol

She's probably showing the interludes in HD in the tour film to tease the full visuals coming next :clownny:

I wonder if the film be eligible for the Oscars and other film industry awards cause it’s a theatrical release and includes a film

Having seen the tour in person and watched 100 different videos online, I don't really care for the concert film... that can go straight to Amazon prime.

I want new content, i.e the visuals & any potential behind the scenes

December 1 is a Friday. That seems like a perfect date to me to release a concert film. I suspect she will unleash a similar movement to the Barbie thing where people will dress in Silver to go to the cinema which no doubt her team will support and participate in and just like that she will win the end of the year.

I can still very well see it being a tour + doc, really focusing on Renaissance.

visuals might be teased with the interludes I guess, so maybe that's why Variety said "elements of Renaissance film"

but like… i don’t want to complain cause finally things are happening BUT i only want the visuals :deadbanana4:

ofc i’d die for a tour film and have been asking for a live album since the tour started but rn idc about going to the theatre to see something i already saw live this summer (and pay again to see it :rip:) i wanna see the visuals first and the tour & doc after… so i hope they either just speculate or got vague info on purpose for now

either way it’ll eat and i’ll totally obviously but ::rogue:

Many will care though. Some will want to relieve the experience in a theatre with others and those who didn't go will feel it's their second chance to participate in something big like that with an audience. It's a genius move tbh. Meanwhile they focus on getting things ready for Act II which i can see being released in the new year as a suprise drop, a visual album next would make sense.

Do we think she's dropping the live album with the tour film?

most likely

as of now i’m more excited about a live album than about the concert footage

Releasing in a theatre is also genius because Parkwood will have the rights to the whole project and wont have to sell it to just one streaming service. Then she will just license it to ALL the streaming services and each will get their turn to broadcast it on their platform. I could see Netflix being pissed as hell though because they did pay her already for exclusivity but some insiders also said many previous Netflix deals with entertainers were cancelled, so perhaps her deal was also silently canceled.

yeah I have many friends who didn't/couldn't go because the tickets in Santa Clara were HOT HOT HOT

I would love to go to the tour film with them and relive the excellence & watch them witness it for the first time
