I looked up the genre and apparently this is R&B. It's labeled that because she's black isn't it? This reminds me of synth-pop. It's devoid of personality and very unmemorable. If this instrumental played without background vocals I'd have no clue this was a Beyonce song. Her voice truly is an instrument.

Remember when everyone raised hell over Mariah Carey and other names left out of the BMS remix? People take everything Beyonce does way too serious... sooooo over dramatic. She was just giving shout outs she didn't have to name every single woman that inspired her.

rym has it tagged Contemporary R&B and Alt-Pop. I'd say it's an experimental pop song.

maybe if she did a lil shimmy, a strut or a hair flip. you don’t need intense choreo, but I feel like at least Haunted and Mine have some propulsion to them that could hype the audience with the bass

no one should ever attempt a sade song...even bey would be scared to do that. That is a lot of pressure cause SADE adu's voice is distinct and easily recognisable that it would be very hard to hear another artist attempt it.

Kimmypoo I love Jealous I'm just dragging the instrumental. I've seen online discussions about how synth pop is unmemorable. That stands true for the production of this song. Crazy in Love, RTW, DIL, etc you KNOW the song even if it's played by a white marching band. That's what I mean.

I like the design on the left more but the execution is just not very good, it makes her look very bulky. She looks a lot better in the left fit. 
 

I felt that way with SO many outfits this tour, that they don't compliment her body at all. It's like they didn't do any fittings before and she just gets them delivered the day of the show and puts them on  

i just wish she'd do All Night on tour, that song is my absolute favorite

Beyoncé has covered songs by Prince, MJ, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Jill Scott, Barbra Streisand, etc. and has nailed it every time.

anyways just thought about how she easily could’ve had 3 #1’s on Ren, AS would’ve done it in the weeks following the release with some push and Cuff It barely even needed any push… a performance or a music video would’ve sealed the deal
