Ok some are doing too much in here. Some low quality videos on social media will never showcase this tour in a real way. The new costume tonight for I Am That Girl was amazing when i saw HD videos on Tik tok. At first i thought it didn't look right either. Like you can be let down by her actions but dont start trashing her work and her art over petty ****. Good lord. She can mention the anniversary on social media when she wants but i never truly thought the visuals would be released tonight. I truly think she scrapped the whole thing and will start over with Act II and do better. Beyoncé knows when to let go and when to embrace a loss. I'm sure something happened around that time to mess with the whole process and made it hard for her and instead of letting the stress take over, she dealt with it and moved on. She will learn from it and do better with act II. I dont believe for one second that the next era will be similar to this one.

The worst thing about her is the lack of communication and the arrogant teasing and trolling of fans. If something went wrong and the visuals are scrapped tell us so we know not to look forward to them. Instead she's saying we are the visuals and dropping random hints on on other artists' projects. She's a troll and she does deserve censure from us.

positive hive log out for me, I don't wanna read any "she doesn't owe us anything!" :giraffe:

This is officially her worst era of all time (if you can even call it an era).. no performances, no visuals (after years of building herself as a visual artist lol), everything in secrecy for no reason, a worthless team of hers who collect paychecks to do nothing, and most of all just plain BORING

What went wrong? Was she injured? Were the visuals BAD? Who knows! We are left to guess and zoom in on her ankles opening night to figure out why she would ruin this album rollout, then we get a slap in the face when she thinks she's being cute by having an interlude that says "you want visuals? Im the queen I'll release them on my own time!" to an audience who doesn't even care and just wants to hear single ladies live (She needs to change the merch from "no skips" to "no hits" since she only performs 3)... Also don't get me started on "no skips" then proceeds to cut out a section of Regretaisance LMFAO, what a clown!

Other artists fans get to look forward to surprise songs being performed on their tour, we go to the show scared what ivy park abomination will replace our favorite outfits. I hope parkwood goes bankrupt, is investigated by the IRS, and scooter buys her masters... why not? She just wants to sell cheap clothing and toilet water

Regretaissance :deadbanana4:

overtly-positive hive sounds like they have stockholm syndrome at this point, wake up, she's not getting better with her eras. Self Titled --> Lemonade ---> The Gift ---> Renaissance get progressively worse and worse with release/promotion. At least we got Gift visuals a year after its release, nothing shes done in the past 10 years shows she improves how she handles an album release

When she is ready, she will reveal it. I have no doubt there is a documentary about this whole era coming after this tour. She will probably explain everything including how she hurt her foot which probably made everything harder when she was filming the videos. Eventually she came to understand that how the fans received the album and how they used their own art to express that love was more powerful than what she was doing and she felt more inspired by that and will use that later on to honor the era. I mean sure she could tell us everything now and end the suspense but real fans will wait for her. Those who are only interested in promotion and grand gestures can go right back to the hot pop star of the moment and leave things alone because none of that will change. Beyoncé has let it known a long time now that she is not controlled by anyone and anything. Do what you gotta do if you dont like it. As a fan it will take more than that to make me turn on my favorite artist.

It isn’t fun to be a Beyoncé fan nowadays. Beyoncé is already half-retired.

:dies: I’m weak

Meh, I'm on the ledge with her. I wasn't expecting anything so I'm not dissapointed and my opinion on the state of her career remains the same.

Beyoncé is a legend. She's cemented her status and has nothing to prove any more. There's a method to her madness and her career speaks for itself. She'll always have her fans and even the casual admirers will be there to snatch tickets up to fill those venues when she goes on tour. The money will continue to roll in as well.

Where this really hurts her is her catalogue. Beyoncé's inability to properly execute an era has negatively impacted her catalogue. Lemonade is one of the most acclaimed records of all time, but it's recurrent streams and poor longevity on the charts speaks volumes. RENAISSANCE was the perfect opportunity to turn that around, but once again, her refusal to give proper attention to the album and its singles will grant the record the same fate as Lemonade in the long run. It's longevity is all thanks to her fambase who pushed on social media to make it a hit.

It's why I've always said Taylor Swift took the Beyoncé print and perfected it. It's why those catalogue streams are still healthy and why those old albums chart as long as they do. Even Rihanna is currently pulling in more streams, and that's thanks to those HITS.

It's funny that Beyoncé purposely shifted her career to focus on albums for the sake of her catalogue lasting longer, but her albums have since been neglected and the long run failed to gain that status.

Again, I'm not surprised, and her career is still in a good place, but I'm about 90% sure that RENAISSANCE, despite its potential will age like Lemondade. Acclaimed and revered, but I don't see it charting for years and I don't see Beyoncé's catalogue streams improving or doing much going forward.

She needs a revamp.

For the record, I didn't expect any visuals tonight, I just waited a year to really air out how BAD this era is.

I expected nothing and was still disappointed

Now streaming Heated, can't wait to scream loud in club renaissance when she says "mute"

Its clearly because she believes we live in the 70s and shes here to live her Nina Simone fantasy (while playing basic children piano) instead of the 21st century that revolves and thrives on engagement via social media and streaming.

She wants to be oldschool so bad and do what her favs did without realizing that those times have absolutely changed.

What really makes me wonder about this whole ordeal is that we say shes a Business woman and cares about her coin, yet IvyPark is flopping due to piss poor Management, Chloe is flopping, her eras are doing very supbar in the longrun, she doesnt maximize her earnings whatsoever (releasing those visuals way later will not result in the same outcome than it couldve been when people actually cared), the touring promo was piss poor... I mean hello? Shes honestly so very lucky to be extremely talented, cause you can tell she lacks it in some other department

I love a good meltdown, I love discourse, it just refreshes the basé. In that sense, thank you Mrs Carter for being such a hag:heart:

It's so weird she wants to be old school but they were doing PROMO back then? Performances on television, interviews, magazine covers (plural), etc. I just know parkwood is BURNING cash, remember when Tina revealed Beyoncé had to pay the costs on Black is King? I bet Disney offered to finance it but wanted it to be released in tandem with the Lion King movie and when she said she needs an entire year they laughed and said she would have to pay

Julez is a mess on TIkTok. He likes the attention he gets. Take his phone Solange!

Even more embarrassing is Tina's meltdown about how Disney wasn't promoting the movie. (I think she was insinuating bc Bey was Black.)

No, they did what they could without the titular star and director moving a finger. I really do love that she's private, but you can't be a private filmmaker.

Does anyone know why we haven’t ever seen an interaction, pic, or reference between Beyoncé and Angelina Jolie aka the queen of singing and the queen of acting? Do they have beef? Is Bey team Jennifer? It doesn’t sit right with me. I want to see them stan each other. THAT would be her ultimate female collab.

Your attempts at trolling are so...boring. :coffee2:

I wish I could pick her brain, I really want to know what exactly she hopes to gain with the decisions she makes. Is this truly all a calculated effort to do the least things possible? Does she simply just not care? I mean we know obtaining profit is important to her, and she’s passionate about her art, so why does she treat her art the way she does? Truly a mystifying being

She's a "I'm not like other girls!!!" kinda girl. Being contrarian is her thing

LMFAO they at least put a banner on Disney+, that's about as much work as she did with her instagram post. What can Disney do with a film where the star and director won't do interviews, won't make appearances, and won't do a live performance? She couldve told them she wanted to perform at Disney World to promote it and they would've let her.

But tbh outside overly optimistic members like Draper, did you guys really expect something for Renaissance's anniversary? Let alone the whole film? There was not even a teaser. Also this week Travis is releasing and he's currently a bigger artist. Nothing could have come this weekend.

Anyway I hope she comes back to Europe and films the tour DVD either in Paris, London or Spain with original outfits and intro.

yall are tryna dig too deep into this.

she's a troll plain and simple :rip:

Reading some responses is funny, she is not entitled to release visuals, I wish she never recorded it just to spit the hive, that demands anything as it is her duty :rip:

Tbh no one asked for a whole film.

I would have been perfectly content with actual singles being released with their related videos. And poof move on to another era! This era has been garbage outside the tour. We can not even get singles properly released. That's the bare minimum.

I agree that I'm surprised that some fans still had faith that the release would be so well oiled as to coincide with Ren's anniversary. That's just not last-decade Bey. However I think some fans are sadly still waiting and expecting visuals because SHE teased them, through her team on IG, on tour and released a whole teaser for it one year ago. And to say she's not entitled is a bit weird. But to be honest, that's probably her sentiment.
