What saddens me is how much bigger 30 era could of been in the US if the whole vegas debacle didn’t happen 

Sony panicked when it happened and stopped promoting her on the radio playlists

You know when she said during the residency there’s a voice note what makes her burst into tears? What exactly is it? Because I’ve seen no daydreamers talk about it or even her so I’m assuming it got cut last minute 

I have a feeling she was gonna perform my little love live because that’s the only song of hers besides IDW with a voice note 

but we seriously deserve to hear her sing my little love live once…

Yeah. It must be Spotify wrapped effect a bit. But let's hope for a good update tomorrow too.

The update is wonderful, 30 almost doing 3M a day is awesome. I really hope the album gets the exposure it deserves.

Her stats are insane by themselves but when you put in consideration her genres they get even more insane. How the hell a woman with only 4 albums singing songs mainly influenced by soul/blues sold +100M albums in this current landscape? 

 

I don't think anyone will ever be able to replicate or breathe new life into those genres on a mainstream level like she's constantly doing.

Because of her music style, I think older people like her more. And they still buy albums. Though obviously less and less each passing year. And it doesn't seem like anyone's coming up to steal her thunder. There was maybe Emeli Sande for a while, in the UK, but she fell off.

That’s definitely a big part of her puhlic but her crossover appeal is what turned her into a phenomenom and allowed her to reach numbers that were considered impossible on this century, she reaches so many audiences. Truly an once in generation artist.
