Only two weeks after Juice WRLD scored the biggest debut of 2020, Taylor Swift will assume that distinction as her surprise release, folklore (Republic), is tracking to a decidedly higher first week. With no physical albums in the market, digital downloads, on-demand audio streams and D2C are stepping up to fill the void.

Swift's first-day streaming numbers at Spotify broke records for most streams for a debut album and song ("the 1") by a female within the platform. This projection has folklore on pace to be the biggest debut since Swift's 2019 bow for Lover.

Taylor Swift (Republic) 650k+ total activity, 450k+ albums
Logic (Def Jam) 75-85k, 17-21k

Oh wow

A ****en BEAST.

****ing hell Taylor.

She is the music industry

Is this 450K+ pure sales & 650K+ SPS?

Where are the pure sales coming from? Digital sales + Bundles? I thought her physicals weren’t released yet?

The legend is putting her peers ON NOTICE

Show dem what they shoulda did, Taylor

And that is despite the fact that it has no physicals available anywhere but her online store. She never fails to amaze me!

bundles from her store are counted as new rules haven't taken effect yet

Does it even have physicals? Isn't that her best format? Amazing tbh.

Literally amazing in this day and age  and she has no physical albums available anywhere but her online store. She never fails to amaze me!

Not only that, this would have been huge even before the streaming era

Oh my GOD

That’s how it’s done. Album after album. Era after era. She proves she’s a legend. No one can touch her.

Smash smash smash

Stomp stomp stomp

My 700k prediction coming true, they are underestimating streaming a bit for sure

Lover first predictions were 725-825k

This will likely do 700k+
