Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s “A Star Is Born” soundtrack remains at number one on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart for the fifth straight week, with 10,500 equivalent units, down 12% over last week. The album continues to have the highest digital song download total for the week, including the No. 1 seller, “Shallow.”

Canada - 37M

US - 326M

The correct ratio is 8.8 so 10.5k is 92.4k

Gold = 40k (Can) = 500k (US)

           10.5k (Can) = 131k (US)

That's an incorrect equivalency, the equivalent sales ratio should used in order to compare. Total album units consumption of Canada in 2017 was 17 million, total album units consumption of the USA in 2017 was 637M.

637 : 17 =  37,5
10,500 x 37,5 = 394,700 units.

Regardless, both a 100k or an almost 400k figure would be very impressive for album in its 5th/6th week on the chart :sistrens:

OT: Queen of Canada ?

I read somewhere labels and retailers are being way more conservative in the amount of albums they ship and it makes sense cause I remember albums being certified way earlier even if sales didnt match up :rip:
