Hope it works out for the best  Though discounts seem to weaken longevity in the long run.

But honestly, I don’t see why some are making it a big deal. Almost everyone’s fave (including mine ) has done it.

Lecreae did this a couple of years ago. BB counted the album for Christian, Gospel, and the BB 200. But, BB did not allow Lecreae on the R&B/Hip-Hop Album Chart. Since he's had mainstream success at that format, I can't understand why BB didn't let him chart there.

How does Billboard decide which genre charts an album can chart in? Is it based on how the album is labeled genre wise?

It would make sense for Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee to donate a portion of the proceeds from Despacito to the relief efforts in post-Maria Puerto Rico, at least the Spanish only version. The song actually encouraged increased tourism to Puerto Rico, as both men are from there and/or of Puerto Rican origin.

 

With Maria having left catastrophic damage all across the island, the Puerto Ricans need every bit of help possible to rebuild their territory. I'm not a fan of the song, but I would download the single if the duo did so. I'll scrounge up something else ASAP, as PR is in awful shape now.
