While I'm not saying this is the next The Sound Of Silence, Theory Of A Deadman's "Rx" has remained in the Top 100 on ITunes since its release. It's hovering in the 80s. This is really big for an Active Rock band/song.

 

I need to hear this song, as maybe Rx has crossover potential. TOAD has gone EIGHT singles deep on albums before, sending some songs primarily HAC instead of AR. 

 

EDIT: I just listened to Rx. Rx is an acoustic based song. Musically the song would fit in at HAC. But since the track's lyrics and video deal with drug use/abuse, including cocaine use in the video, I'm not sure if it could crossover beyond AR and Alt. Still, this longevity on ITunes is HUGE for an Active Rock based band.

When was this song released?  I haven't been keeping track of it.

 

Edit: So, I just checked and it's been inside the top 100 for barely 7 consecutives weeks and has sold 39k... Maybe it will have "The Sound Of Silence" level of longevity, but that's a far cry, we just have to wait and see.

I hope Spotify playlists come through. Ballads tend to be snubbed there

It's bright green. For the majority of genres, Rx is not doing much of anything. But for an Active Rock band, TOAD is doing remarkable for just staying in the Top 100 on ITunes for any given length of time.
