I don't know if Taylor's team was expecting the song to hold up like this but it's a bit worrying. Tbh it's shouldn't come as a surprise, LWMMD is experimental, while RFI is radio-candy. Of course the GP is goin' to latch on more.

Im praying Sam releases a great record (Stargate & Jimmy napes is an encouraging sign). But I dont think he is a star who is guaranteed a huge comeback. Especially in the US. It needs to be a great record and that remains to be heard. Even then he will need to PROMOTE. Its not wise to build up big expectations is what Im basically saying. Build up low expectations so you can say "Wow OMG amazing" when it does well. Thats how you do it.

Many people think he will pull a Lorde in the US (I think he will do better with a top 10 hit at least).
