It happened juat earlier today. All tracks had the exact same percentages yet they showed up colors like it would be compared to 2 updates earlier

No. There have been at like 5 glitch updates in the last 2 days

I'm not very good at posting photos on mobile but there have been updates in which the colors of each song changed but the percentages for every song stayed basically exactly the same as in the previous update. Not possible for this to happen. They're clearly glitches without any "???"

The 2nd update on the first day of LWYMMD....

Come on. That's obviously not correct

Edit: The 2nd white one it got a little later isn't correct either

500K in 2017's market, would be the equivalent to:

658K in 2016

877K in 2015

1 million in 2014

1.145 million in 2013

1.214 million in 2012

respective overall markets.

They don't necessarily look like glitched updates to me. The percentages aren't exactly the same for all of the songs in any of those updates. In the update you explicitly mentioned, percentages changed for positions 2, 3, 7, 8,  and 9 in the top 10 alone. Presumably, they aren't changing much because the gap is so massive that the fluctuations are going to be lost in rounding error. You can see a similar phenomenon if you look back on Hello's stable updates.

Measured at the end of each year?

With these calcs, LWYMMD would have to sell 634k to match Hello.

The fact sales haved dipped that much :jonny:

500K's percent of the total estimated digital sales for 2017. Then getting total digital sales for previous years, and seeing how much that percentage would be under those numbers.

true, I need him to do more rnb but it would definitely flop sales wise (i.e. journals )

i'm hoping that taylor gets a 10 week sales #1.

maybe with Her next song.

right now Hollaback Girl still has the record for longest female digital sales #1 with 9 wks.

11    Imagine Dragons - Believer
12    Imagine Dragons - Thunder

Why should it be successful? is better that is flopping, he can be overexposed if it smash.. then he would take like 2 years break..

OMG. Talent winning again. :alexz2:

Thunder is gonna stay so much time on Billboard since it hasn't even been Top 50 and it's starting to smash. :alexz:

It's 100% not a correct update.

It's not plausible for the song to have been white after 4 hours to then more than double it's lead the next 2 updates.

And yeah sure small numbers change less but not that little. No way

And it makes no sense that the colors are kimda sorted. The dark greens and the dark reds don't group like that. That's statistically impossible

would be the first time for him... he took a long break with purpose for obvious reasons

I'm not sure what the second sentence is referring to, but the colors are just a Kworb construct and don't really say anything useful in this case if songs aren't really changing.

In the Adele instance, many songs didn't change at all, and the percentages weren't as low in comparison.

It's also likely the popularity algorithm has changed with time: for many years we never saw songs decrease in the first 24 hours, but it has happened many times recently.
