The fact that hours after Katy got a 200k debut prediction she fell below someone selling 20k on iTunes :rip:. I think Sza will definitely sell more than her prediction and Katy still has her bundles and physical sales, but still it's not good.

it's not good ?the 200.000 prediction sales for katy?? it's amazing. better than gaga ,bruno mars, with no big hit (like bruno)or promo (like gaga) this week or something.it's good no matter what position has on itunes

I think you misunderstood, I'm saying she's probably not gonna sell close to her prediction because she just fell below someone only predicted to sell 20k on the biggest music market. It's a good prediction but I don't think she'll reach it

They are including her gifted albums in the prediction, the real sale number Will be much lower

55. Camila Cabella - Crying in the Club

101. Fifth Harmony - Down

I feel like Down will pull a BOSS. The girls promoting their collabs instead of their own song is funny (Ally and her edm collab and Lauren with Strangers :skull:).

they are obviously not committed and their label obviously put no money into them. Like they released a WFH rehash with a cheap music video and no promo adn refused to put their tracks on hot tracks (unlike the label putting Camila on hot tracks. It's probably still here). They obviously see no future in the group lmao.

Being #55 with hot track is as bad as being #101 tho?

And Lauren joining Halsey for a performance wouldn't take away any promo from Down anyway.

Fifth Harmony do not have hot track, I give you that, but Down came out a week ago and their music video just got released. And unlike Camila, they had two huge hits in the past.

I can get why Camila dropped out of the top 100 but I can't get this. Down being bad does not help either tho.

Don't tell me you were expecting this kind of performance from their lead single because I can't believe you.

Camila was lower at this point two weeks ago and the label put it right back to Hot Track immediately so it could bounce back. it had video and BBMAs and extra promo. so...

And Camila was in Worth It and WFH as well. she has always been the most popular member and according to the fans, the girl who made them happen. so no, their performances are equally bad.

I didn't expect a lead single to struggle to get a hot track spot either. Oh and I saw this doing bad as soon as I heard it. :michael:

and so?many songs are discounted these days .it's a new marketing promo. but songs like swalla (it has discount over a month) doesn't rise so much. the same with the cure.so it's not only the discount.the song needs to appealing to the general public to buy it.miley may not have a discount yet but she had huge promo (music video first day release, wango tango, billboard awards, the voice, today show) but she's still out of the top 20 on itunes.the song is just not appealing for the general public.bad liar has  changes to smash. selena not make a performance yet or released the official video.  she's higher on radio than miley.so we know who's won this battle.

So we know who's won this battle?

BB100:

10. Malibu

27. Bad Liar

Yeah, Miley has won so far. I really believe Bad Liar has a chance to outpeak Malibu but it's not fair what you're doing right now lol

Did you post about Bad Liar being below Malibu when it didn't have a discount?

People can shade SOTT all they want, but it's been pretty staple on Itunes proving you don't need a #1 single to be a hit, a sleeper hit at most.

They've had the same amount of promo (video, live performance), what is this extra promo? The Hot Tracks is the only difference of course, which does help Camila a lot.

13. The Cure

damn. 2nd highest song by female artist :clap3:

All over Miami, LA, NY, London, Madrid etc. as far as I know.

Why is anyone acting like Hot Tracks guarantees a song to fly up iTunes? There's SEVERAL songs on hot tracks that aren't in the top 100, some not even the top 500.

That was a way to create hype before release, 5H had their own pretty cool strategy as well with the coordinates and snapchat.

The members from 5H aren't known individually. They are known as 5H, not as Lauren, Camila, etc. I doubt that being part of Worth It or WFH would work more in favour of Camila. If any, it would benefit 5H even more.

The thing is that (from what I've seen) 5H stans *generalisation* are "begging" for a hot track spot when they shouldn't need it, at least not for a lead single. It's true that every new song should appear there for at least a week so that tells you how ****ed up their label is :skull: .

And this hot track spot is something that does not last much time. Camila is lucky to spend like a 4th week there. Watch her discount the song once she gets dropped from that section. :lmao:

Anyway, I wish 5H the best. I hope they serve another Reflection/Going Nowhere/Dope in their new album :jonny4:

Hot Tracks is an EXTREMELY effective form of iTunes promo. Arguing against that is just silly since it's been proven time and time again how impactful it is. It may not guarantee a song a placement in the Top 100, but songs always zoom up the chart when added to Hot Tracks and fall when removed. And for a song that's by a current, trendy artist and has at least a decent amount of airplay, it does basically guarantee you a Top 100 spot.

Just. Stop. C was down to 112 on iTunes as soon as her track left Hot Tracks it was free falling the same, and as soon as they put it back up, it stabilized in the Top 100. Just. Stop. It helps. If those songs weren't on Hot Tracks they would be doing even worse.

Malibu at #21 with no discount, no recent promo, and average radio updates, it's going to have great longevity and probably won't peak until August/September :heart2:

SOTT is also serving Longevity being #5 WW

And being #15 on US Itunes:clap3:

Malibu has peaked, it's done on radio and streaming, and its iTunes boosts were rather minimal and short-lived despite tons of promo

trashing urban music and catering to Trump supporters isn't really working out for her :soda:

Bad Liar has had no promo and the music video has yet to come

the universally acclaimed Bad Liar will prevail in the end :soda:

Not trying to involve myself in the argument, but do these things work?

I mean, if I'm not checking out new music / pop culture, would I even know what this is about? I'm on ATRL and I only recognized that image after reading the post. Otherwise I would've thought it was a movie poster (for a low budget American remake of a probably-better Japanese horror movie)

I think labels are just wasting money on this. It looks cool if it's a listening party or they're hosting some event related to the artist, but other than that I don't think anyone is rushing to iTunes/Spotify after seeing it.
