I stand by what I say though, if they keep churning out songs that all sound the same, their chart success will eventually run out (their album is so so bad). Either way, Katy's top ten record should be safe.

I saw no excuses in the posts concerning TC.

 

The album is horrible though. It Won't Kill Ya is the last potential hit, but I don't see them pushing it for some reason. They could also drop a one-off single, knowing they don't have any more smashes on the album. It'd be strange to not have them on the radio through the Summer, so I wonder what the hold up is.

Well, it certainly seems like folks were justifying Young's inability to climb into the top 100 on its lack of radio airplay and the fact that it's not an official single. I just don't think those things matter so much when a song gets a high profile performance.

 

Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I've been suspecting their back to back hits would soon be coming to an end. Momentum seems to be waning and I suspect they're the kind of act that constantly needs material out to keep people interested. I can't see them coming back after a year or two break with the same sound and duplicating the kind of success they had. Maybe they'll evolve but I just doubt it.

 

I definitely agree about the quality of the album tho. It's one of the worst I've heard in recent memory. It drives me crazy because I still think Roses is an amazing song.
