H100: This is America #1, NTLTC #10, Chun Li #19
It's cool if you prefer older music. Lots of people (probably most, in fact) would agree with you. But there's often a strong implication that there's no way people could genuinely like certain songs because of outside factors. Like... you keep claiming what your point is, but your original comment that I responded to was that This Is America, as a song, does not deserve #1. Point blank. I reiterate, that is simply your opinion and I and, many others, disagree with you on that. Hence the popularity of the song. You state certain points as if they are facts but they are just your opinion. Which you're entitled to. But it doesn't change the fact that they are opinions.

But if a song is popular for any variety of reasons that doesn't make its popularity any less valid. And who are any of us to assume why any person is listening to a song? There are always stans who blindly love everything an artist puts out. And people like that have always existed. But if a song manages to hit #1 and stay at #1 no less, it indicates some level of widespread acceptance and appreciation.

H100: This is America #1, NTLTC #10, Chun Li #19
That's cool if that's your opinion. But I certainly disagree. And it'll deserve the #1 spot as long as it's still streaming and selling well enough regardless of our opinions.

I must say... it's great to see Childish Gambino officially at #1. As a long time fan, I never thought I'd see him at #1, much less debuting there. Really thought Redbone was gonna be his biggest hit. It'll certainly be interesting to see how it holds up over the next couple months.

H100: This is America #1, NTLTC #10, Chun Li #19
Looking like This Is America will get an easy second week at #1. And if anyone is wondering, even if YT's influence on the H100 is cut in half, This is America would have still gotten the #1. And it looks like the same will be true for its second week at #1.

H100: Never Be The Same #6, No Tears Left to Cry #10
Finally getting a chance to break down last week's chart and I just noticed that Dame Tu Cosita's position is a huge question mark. I assumed it had a huge week on YT or something, but after looking it up on YT insights, they actually have it falling substantially in streams last week. In fact, they only have it at 4.7M streams for the week. Sometimes I double what YT insights reports for YT heavy songs (like Gummo and Outside Today), but the song would need about 4x the amount of streams reported. It certainly isn't getting many points outside of YT considering I don't see it anywhere on spotify and it's not even in the top 200 Latino songs on AM. @simmnfierzig did I miss anything? Any thoughts? Curious to see if this will correct itself like that Medicine song did or if this will stay high next week.

H100: Never Be The Same #6, No Tears Left to Cry #10
Thanks for sharing! I love seeing more posters sharing their predictions. Hope to see more of yours! I keep going back and forth on Chun-Li. My gut tells me HDD underestimated its streaming # this week and it's gonna be surprisingly high, but I might just be getting swayed by the fact that it's peak three weeks ago was higher than expected.

Go fig lol. Glad to see it finally making an appearance. Crazy it jumped in so high too. I saw Boo'd Up on the Are & Be playlist yesterday. I wonder how long it's been featured there.

H100: Never Be The Same #6, No Tears Left to Cry #10
It's looking like I over predicted Chun-Li and under predicted Watch. Thinking their positions should be switched. Also think Better Now will stay in the top 20.

How is Boo'd Up top 20 on AM, #3 on YT and yet absolutely nowhere to be seen on the Spotify top 200? Is it getting like no playlist support there? Everyday I keep expecting to see it make an appearance on spotify t200 and yet nothing. If it ever gets on TTH, it'll definitely explode. Hope she gets more support there soon.

Excellent #. Really thinking he's got the #1. This would be the most exciting and unexpected #1 debut I've ever seen. Can't wait to see the YT update tomorrow.

I love that This is America has a shot at #1. It doesn’t seem to be slowing on YT at all. Eagerly waiting for today’s Spotify update.

I'd say it's safe to call This is America a lock for top ten. Need to see tomorrow's YT and Spotify update tho to see just how high it can go.

Hot 100: Ariana debuts #3
I knew I shouldn't have said anything. Always a smart ass, condescending, undermining response. This thread has been a toxic wasteland for months. Which really sucks cuz it used to always be my favorite.

Hot 100: Ariana debuts #3
I, honestly, don't know what to make of this week's race for #1. Earlier I had assumed Psycho was probably going to hit #1 but, if HDD's #s are to be believed, it may not even come in at #2. Now, I'm not gonna go with HDD's #'s in my final predictions. Psycho gained 7.8M streams on spotify over last week so I'm guessing its overall #'s are probably closer to 30M, give or take. However, 30M still wouldn't necessarily put it at #1. Or even #2. I usually lean on the conservative side with my predictions, so atm I'm kinda thinking NFW stays at #1 (and I'm leaning towards Psycho being at #3). But it absolutely wouldn't surprise me at all if Psycho hit #1. It's anyone's guess this week.

Hot 100: Drake debuts #1; three songs Top 5.
Yeah, I agree with simm that I don't see J Cole that high. Thinking in the 6-8 range for him. Tough to say whether he'll be able to come in ahead of The Middle and Look Alive. Don't see top 5 for him what with streams being so frontloaded, but it's still very early.

Hot 100: Drake debuts #1; three songs Top 5.
I think she could go as high as 3 if streams hold up well throughout the week. But, for now, I'm thinking it debuts at #5.

iTunes Discussion
I agree. And I'd be curious to see how much that kind of discount would boost sales for songs by big artists.

Hot 100: Drake debuts #1; three songs Top 5.
Radio and YT. Of course it's still super early and we don't have any YT #'s for this week yet. And NFW and GP are super close in points. But it wouldn't surprise me if GP returned to #1.
