Cannot imagine why anybody would think bag carrier Niall would have the longest career out of 1D. This town did not do that well on official global charts it barely peaked top 20 in most countries. It was a 6-week #1 that charted for 68 weeks and sold over 7 million copies in the US. That's better stats than any Beyonce single.

This is why Billboard uses weeks at x position to judge how big a song is than sales or weeks on the chart. Its all relative to the industry climate at the time.
