Nial had genuine world wide success with This Town + Slow Hands is shaping up to be a hit as well.

Harry got acclaim and decent success with his first single +  his album sold more its in first week than Zyan's album did in its whole run.

Liam's song is just starting out but hes able to appear on TV and radio without fleeing into hiding, so he will do fine as well.

Zyan is closer to Louis  than the Nial/Harry and Liam.

Pillowtalk is bigger than all of their hits...and Zayn had a #1 debut album and a smash hit "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" :gaycat4:

Liam will only go downhill from here... and Harry doesn't have a hit left in ha album :gaycat5:

Niall will prevail... the real dark horse :clap3:

Idk what a Louis is :cm:

but thats all he got :rip: you just described his career in a line.

I really think in terms of longevity and success it will be

Niall > Liam > Harry > Zyan > Bear Payne >>> LouLou

I think in terms of popularity Harry is definitely the most popular of the group. Zayn was never the popular in 1D, but his solo music was really good, which is why Pillowtalk hit number one. Harry is able to sell albums because he was always the lead man in one direction and evrryone knows him

I think  his core fans will be shook that the music is way too different from the standard 1D songs. Like they bought the album this time, but will there be here for a whole career of them? I guess only time will tell.

Well he's only been solo for 1 year. What do you expect

I can describe the others with one line as well :ahh:

A TV performance or radio interview maybe + a second single to peak inside the top 75 :fan:

ill take longevity and consistent hits over 1 big single then bust :fan:

:rip: so like how did things go for him after pillow talk?

doesn't matter? Pillowtalk is still bigger than any of 1d boys single.

So now the discussion is about promo

A #1 smash and an gold certified album isn't bad for a debut era. If this was a new artist (which he is) it would be competely fine. He still remains one of the most successful off the band. 2 global hits vs their 0

The only other one you can argue with is harry. The rest cannot compete

And Party Rock Anthem was bigger than any Beyonce single, who is the bigger artist?

I mean Like I Would, Its You, Still Got Time all peaked in the top 75 on the hot 100. I don't think Harry is gonna get another top 75 hit from this album. You can't just drag Zayn when no one else is doing better

the #1s were based of Hype though, he won't have that next time, hes going to have to appear on TV and promote :rip:

mess i'm not even a 1D stan so I don't know the exact stats, I was just making an observation that the following singles didn't really do anything.

Where are the Harry, Liam and Niall stans :skull: help me

Well I agree with you there. His problem is him not caring enough to promote but that's another topic which is not really relevant here

but as we are talking purely on success & numbers. ranking him below anyone out of the band that is not harry was delusional. Not when they are still trying to get their first hit :fan:

It was just how I think its going to turn out not the current success.  Sorry if that wasn't clear :rip:  Niall and Liam both went with a really current sound that is popular in the UK and US  (Ed sheeran singer/song writer and an urban hip-hop that can also cross over to pop and top 40 stations)

Imagine believing this when Sweet Creature and Kiwi are riding on iTunes as we speak.

No it's not. Its not bigger than Say My Name, Independent Women, Crazy In Love, Baby Boy, Irreplaceable... PRA was #1 for maybe a week or two at best. So any song that was #1 for a longer period of time is a bigger hit.

Most of those are DC songs aren't they? :skull: and i'm pretty sure it sold more and has more streams than those, but anyway you know what I meant.

I mentioned 3 DC songs and 3 Beyonce only songs. Equal does not equal most. :skull: I forgot to even mention Single Ladies.

Well duh it sold more. It came out during the height of the downloads era. It should sell more. How big a song is according to Billboard is based on how it does relative to the songs around it.

Lets not act like the success of DC wasn't mostly the success of Beyonce.
