I think he's opening for an artist I don't care much about. 

And his American label is Columbia, the same label that broke Hozier in America. Makes you wonder why didn't they use the same strategy. But Columbia has been ignoring their artists lately unless your name is Harry Styles  

Finally, I think they are moving on to a second single and will release Skin.

I think @DELE2125 said Hello lost 720k downloads. 720k seems closer, given 25's enormous pre-sale numbers.

 

Of note, Buzz Angle DOES NOT subtract singles sales when the buyer uses CMA. I really wish more artists would put out single-only versions of leadoff songs, and not replace it with the album version until the day the CD goes on sale.

 

Had Adele gone that route, Hello would now be at around 5.6 M downloads. Instead, Hello is only up to 4.88 M. She'll get to 5 M, but it's taken much more time that it could/should have.

But he asked if it counts for the Hot 100 and yes the sales counts for the Hot 100 since they cant predict the future if or when you will CMA. A negative sales from CMA also doesnt count for the Hot 100 since that wouldnt be the correct week to count it in. Just counts as nothing then

Yes she has. by far and I'm happy for this one!

i wonder if say you won't let go will be discounted near its radio peak to get it that top 10 h100 peak. doing great in radio, pretty well in sales.

It's been doing great since it was around #30 on Hot 100. But I think they won't discount it. After all, he's not that desperate I think to have a Top 10 hit.

In terms of music so far Zayn > Niall > Harry > Louis

 

Zayn's is by far the best output. I like Slow Hands and This Town is basic but cute enough. Harry's album seems kind of pretentious and overwrought, not very repeatable. Louis' song with Steve Aoki was a mess.

 

PILLOWTALK, Drunk, and IDWLF though >>> even SGT is a very nice bop. I wish Zayn was more professional and went out and really stood by his music.

Yea, I'm guessing this only applies if it's done in the same charting week. If I buy the single now and decide 2 weeks down the road I want the whole album, the single would already be counted in H100. But if I change mind during that week it'll be shown as an album and not a single sale?

 

 

Which kind of answers my next question I guess. Purchasing the album means the content only gets counted on BB200 right? So 100 people buying an album does not mean 100 downloads of each song will be put towards H100? Unlike BB200 where a single sale could count towards album sales.
