Im amazed anybody takes Niall seriously as a solo artist. He was like the bag carrier of One direction. Another of the many current white pop boys who have the star quality of a grocery packer at Walmart. At least Harry has swag.

No he wasn't lol. He showed the most growth out of any of the boys, especially vocally (granted Zayn and Harry were already good vocalists) and was hands on with the last two 1D albums lyrically and playing instruments. He might be the one with the most co-writes actually. Harry isn't latching on because his whole solo approach feels really forced/pretentious. Doesn't help the music is standard white boy with a backing band. All three of his songs could've been on the last 2 1D sets, but for whatever reason there's this massive bandwagon behind him on ATRL. Not saying they're bad but there's definitely an exaggeration on the quality of SOTT.

Most probably don't know his songs are nothing severely new since 1D always got flack on here too. I guess it was all the Bowie comparisons before release.

Swag isn't going to help Harry move forward. Nor will it allow him to sing SOTT live, correctly. The album better have more to offer.

Harry sang SOTT fantastically well on SNL. Especially considering its a difficult song to pull off live with its big sound and vocal gear changes. And its ten times better than Nialls basic buskerlite forgettable songs. And Niall has the charisma of a paper cup. But you're entitled to your wrong subjective opinion.

Despacito is #1 in the UK combined :jonny2:

Also in the US. Although I don't know if we should count them together since Kworb estimates weekly sales separately for the original version and the remix with Justin. Don't know if Billboard separates them too or not but I doubt it.

Nah he has some work to do with it. Though SNL doesn't always translate well for every guest (see Lana). Trust the next performance of it will be much better. But nah Niall wrote better songs out of the 20 1D co-writes. SOTT sings, reads and comes out as a 1D song. Except Zayn would've done those final notes better. :fan:

And funnily enough, Harry is adopting the whole mysterious / no interview thing. That's what I got from reading his RS cover story. So clearly his team is pushing him as a secluded rocker, opposite to the personality he had in 1D.

I never once thought 1D when listening to "Sign Of The Times". I was thinking "Purple Rain" with a touch of "Space Oddity".

The biggest LIE I've ever seen on this site. "Fantastically"?! With the way that he had to keep pulling away from the mic because he was reaching for notes that are nowhere in his ability of hitting outside the studio!  ??????????

He did a lot better with it on TGN show. I just hope he changes the note during tour, so he doesn't completely shatter any vocal ability he has... ?

But can we agree these 1D boys will struggle to have album cuts quite as good as ZAYN's Drunk?
