I sometimes wonder if some posters here find joy in saying dumb **** for attention, or it's simply because they're not that bright. When Taylor mops the floor with their fave, the charts don't matter. Yet they suddenly do when it's time to compare their fave to Beyoncé's streaming numbers. When their fave's sorta kinda solo hit gets eclipsed by numerous 2025 female hits, all we hear is "but it's a really gay, loud, edgy dance pop song by a woman in her forties, what did you expect". However, a woman in her late sixties does not get the same grace. So what is it, a total lack of self awareness or a MAGA-like need to repeat certain things and cover your ears straight after because you know they apply to your fave just as much?

And yet she's never outselling Madonna or taking her place culturally, and that's why you're seething. But yes, Chartmasters, yes, asterisks, yes, Bruno...

It's kinda funny how pressed some people are about Madonna's critical and commercial success at 67. But then again, if my fave started stalling 2 years into her career, I'd feel embarassed too. I came to this thread hoping we can have a normal discussion about his revolutionary work and, well... And just so you know, "I'm sad he died but at least he apologized to my fave before he died, now he can rest in peace" is something that only a hopeless case would say.
