Far as Beyonce goes: Deja Vu eats and yes sometimes it's better than CIL (at least the studio version) Concerning Olivia: it was always the best single from sour and for me is better than cruel summer. One of my fave pop songs from that year. i didn't know Katy had a song called Deja vu

Idk List looks good but Janet and/or Diana should be here. Not sure who I'd eliminate, maybe Britney. Love her down but Diana and Janet both feel bigger than her.

I agree. To add to this, the initial pre release promo was on point. Then the album came and as excellent as it is it's still missing something. Something I've known about Beyonce is that her performances have always sold HER music. Whether it was a video or a live performance she breathes the life into it. Renaissance is actually brilliant and while it could've really benefitted from some live promo or videos the music itself holds really well. CC is good but long, heavy and v/foreign to her main audience. I don't believe she catered enough to her core audience and that's why it's performing the way it is. Why Tyrant or 2H2H weren't sent to urban radio I'll never understand. Why Leviis Jeans wasn't sent to pop radio I don't understand. Get the hit singles that drive people to listen the album and discover the deeper meaning and get more entranced into this echoville trilogy world that she's building. Like another user said this is one of the first times I'm indifferent about an album from her and I'm one of the few that rode with the gift (excellent album with a messy release). But like she said she doesn't care about this kind of stuff so who am I?

I still listen to 2hands2heaven weekly then tyrant and Leviis jeans sparingly. The album is great but it's not an easy listen if that makes sense.

In all seriousness I'm not sure who but, safe space? I'm not sure how this album is doing these numbers and please don't give me the usual same tired responses like at least with the last album you heard songs in the grander scene outside of her Stan's echo chamber. Anti Hero, Karma, Lavender Haze (IG) but for as big as these numbers are I'm not seeing anyone irl listen to the music. It's all kinda bizarre to me. Like are we really living in the same musical landscape as one another? Idk if anyone can really understand what I'm saying without taking it as a jab towards Taylor because it isn't. She has been highly successful and several of her songs in the past have made their marks the greater pop music scene of its time. For TTPD to be her biggest album commercially this far it feels very absent from the ear. no shade to her because clearly someone is listening, many someone's but yeah that's it. OT: IDK what will replace her whenever the next big mainstream act releases. And like a huge star not no Dula Peep Mess. (No shade to her).

Love Meg and I want her to win but I kinda agree with some of you here. It is beginning to sound the same. I know she has versatility and has shown it before but after cobra and hiss it's definitely time to step your game up and BOA isn't really it. Sounds like an album track to me. I pray she doesn't waste this Snake theme on anymore mid songs. Video is great so that's nice but she isn't a videography she's a rapper so the music has to be fire. meg is in a unique position rn, everyone knows she talented and can rap her ass off but she needs to give us some **** we ain't heard before. if I were her I'd start working with other producers, she'd sound good on a metro or LODT beat or just anybody new 🥹 would be cool if she brought timb outta retirement. (and idk why anyone won't sample overnight celebrity-twista, and make it a hit again.) but yeah, I'm still riding but I won't listening to BOA like that. Kinda wish she would tap a little into the scarlet sound (damn good album) and get some inspiration from doja,( why they haven't worked together yet I'm not sure) good visuals, mid audio.

My two cents, i think she should II Hands II Heaven to urban radio and give that side of her audience something to eat on. If they played Texas and 16 carriages they will wear "hands" out. as far as the era I'm beginning to realize that each album is like a single to the "Trilogy Era." This is one big project fleshed out over three acts with each act having its own moment similar to a single run. that's why I don't believe she (and I use this loosely) cares about having so many singles for each album. The leads do the necessary work to get the hype for the act and then she prepares for the accompanying tour (makes edits on the final visual), and prepares for the next act. While the current frustration is understandable the universe that she's building is going to be well worth the payoff.
