  1. No even if we look into the 2000s decade there are only like 6-8 female artists we all agree on who had a lasting/impactful career at the top. After that there is a mix of artists who had short careers or were famous but never made it really big. Now we say why is this or that artist not breaking through or the hits don't take off, but that is normal. If we one day look back into the 2020s, about just 6-8 female artists made it big, the rest is just part of the mix.
  2. Pay the taxes. That leaves me with $550k 😥
  3. Taylor is on the TIME POTY cover in 2017 and 2023
  4. Interesting that the main faces of the 21st century are already on display. What has changed at the very top since than. Ariana (2013), Billie (2017) and Olivia (2021) joined. What else? Maybe a little bit of Cardi B, SZA, Sabrina Carpenter. It's lonely at the top.
  5. No artist listed by you has sold more overall units than her, no one has grossed more than her total on tour, no one has more Grammys than her, no one has more #1 hits or #1 albums in the US. None of them ever covered TIME as POTY. No one mentioned is a billionaire artist. No one has more social media followers.
  6. This is true for every celebrity and rich person. If there was no write off option, donations would dwindle down in the billions. Most of them are not doing it 100% just to be a good person, they know what they are doing.
  7. That fanbase driven success has no value or not what artists should be proud of. Look at Katy Perry, she has no fanbase to make anything happen with her music on the charts the last decade. All the shade and drags she is getting because such a big MPG flops so hard. In the end of the day, all artists will decline with the GP and are either left with nothing or with hopefully a fanbase they have build over the years. Some of these older artists have no hits in decades, but still their albums sell to #1 because of a fanbase. And the big tours are possible because people still care and buy tickets/merch. Olivia and Billie are smart, they understand Gen Z and try to connect with them. In 15 years from now, if they see chart/streaming/touring success, it will be because of their fanbase still caring. As a new generation has the GP attention.
  8. 19 got 2 Grammys 21 got 6 Grammys 25 got 5 Grammys
  9. She is part of 4-5 female artist that are suddenly around and charting high. I wonder if anyone of them has a longer stay 🤠
  10. TIME magazine had both listed in 2023 as candidates, and we know who they picked. I agree with them.
  11. This is always what some users say before her next era But when the numbers are out, watch threads to open comparing her with the biggest recent numbers one can name: Billie, Bad Bunny, Olivia Rodrigo, Morgan Wallen ( US charts)… not a flop era like Witness.
  12. Witness stands at 3.2M units ww after almost 10 years. The only question is, will TS13 sell more or less than 3.2M first week ww?
  13. In 2019 many considered Taylor to be in a decline from her previous successful years. To be this powerful to than deliver a decade that competes with MC 90s (named artist of the decade). Impressive.
  14. My grandmother had 28 years of life left at this point. I hope Madonna is as lucky and lives a long and healthy life 😇
  15. What would it even change if people listen to music what is said to be good. A music institute near me tried to work out what songs of the past 25 years has the highest quality standards. Once they figured out a list, they went to a retriement home and played it to old people. The old people declared all the music hot modern garbage and said „Put on some Sinatra".
  16. Interesting, because the same people tell all day long that when Taylor has immense success, it doesn't mean anything or „arts not the charts". But when Taylor falls short in some very random success stat, they quickly post about it.
  17. Christina Grimmie getting shot at the age of 22 at her own m&g. She wanted to hug him and he takes her life.
  18. Wait this is a day 61 vs day 13 comparisson 🤯
  19. Taylor Taylor Swift #4 (with a rerecording she could snatch #2) Fearless #2 Speak Now #2 RED #1 1989 #1 Reputation #2 (#1 with a rerecording release) Lover #1 Folklore #2 (close to the #1 album) Evermore #3 Midnights #2 (close to the #1 album) TTPD #1 TLOAS #1
  20. The Songwriters HOF and Nashville Songwriters HOF and got it right 👍🏻
  21. Not every album in a large discography will be super big and compete with the new IT-girls. Madonna in 2003 was called the Queen of Pop, she had a 20 year lasting historic career. Her 2003 album than sold 4.5M units. At the same time, Norah Jones released Come away with me, what sold 30M units. Lady Gaga became the biggest name in pop, than she released Joanne and Artpop. People love to use 21 and 25 from Adele to compare with Taylor. But Adele's 4th album performed on a lower standard. It happens.
  22. One global smash is a mania now?
  23. Taylor's 70 top 10 hits spend like 270 weeks in the top 10 (if the AI i asked got it right).
