I always root for her to get that breakout moment.

Nights Like This is a 10/10 song that deserved to at least be a Top 5 smash hit. Gangsta, Folded, Distraction, and Ring with Cardi deserved the same as well.

This song is gonna kill the momentum that Folded is builting. It gives every bit of flop follow up single some 2000s artists would have released after a semi-hit. .

Kehlani already has a loyal R&B fanbase. This song should satisfy her core fanbase who probably overplayed Folded at this point. Plus, whatever she releases now will be overshadowed by Folded as that song's hype is going to last until Grammy

• Xmas coming soon, new music unlikely to breakout
• Folded is still doing well on radio (holding steady on Rhythmic + Urban, likely to get a revival on these formats with year-end countdowns. The song just started getting airplays on Pop & Urban AC too)
• Grammy nominations in Nov, then the actual ceremony takes place in Feb, Kehlani and her team needs to campaign Folded in the upcoming months

If she has another smash like Folded, best to save that post-Grammy

An actual single cover, not just an outtake from a photoshoot cropped into a square

The cover does give the early 2000s. It looks like a proper single CD from that era. Someone like Mya comes to mind. With that being said, I still think the song is going to tank.
