The polls worry me a bit because we know that Republican turnout is often stronger in midterm elections than Dem turnout, so if these polls schew so heavily towards the Dems it could lead to an even larger turnout in key areas... idk we should keep expectations very low. I do think Dems will end up winning both chambers but I don´t think it´s gonna be by such a large margin as people suggest.

I think two things can exist alongside each other. Mamdani does deserve recognition for trying his hardest to make live in NYC more affordable, arguably more than any other mayor but simultaneously people are allowed to be disappointed that he didn't assert his power when he could on another issue that was also important to many people that helped elect him.
