it's disingenuous to try and frame their public perception exclusively with their red tracks when the duality plays a big role in their appeal. if this were still 2016 when their velvet titles had all flopped you might have a point, but it's been a decade since then and things have changed. casual listeners have latched onto title tracks from both sides of the spectrum (and ones that straddle the line like Feel My Rhythm), so trying to keep up the goofy Pretty Girls comparison makes no sense
