Mariah's current voice and recent albums are honestly hard to listen to, and the way her fanbase rushes to defend it feels more emotional than honest. Aging alone doesn't explain it. There are plenty of singers in their 50s and older who can still hold a note, why does Mariah get a pass?

I get what you're saying. Some people in this base just get extremely defensive when talking about Mariahs current voice.

Mariah sounds horrible. Someone really needs to sit her down. The Aretha's & the Patti's never sounded this bad in their 50s. Even her peers like Chante Moore and Tamia can still sing down! Idk what's going on
