Christina Aguilera
Now, you are NAWT gonna do Miss Twice & Co. like this. Especially when the bar is L*tus. Although her most surprising output from the 10's to me will continue to be Shotgun.

Ariana Grande
Those amounts, plus over $100 million each for advertising would for sure require like $400 million in box office alone for each movie to break even in the theatrical window. Looking at live action musicals that made as much in the past few years: A Star Is Born and The Greatest Showman, while you have major flops like Cats, In The Heights and West Side Story. It's truly a toss up, but they seem to have a lot of faith in it, since they approved that much money and two movies instead of one. To your point, though, Wicked is very much a successful.mp3 property and it's a proven box office smash on stage, so now it just has to prove itself on the big screen, and it doesn't have to go face to face against two family friendly films, one which happens to be part of the biggest saga in the world. I don't think it's possible for the first one to flop so terriblly that the second won't be released in theaters. Wicked and Ariana have huge fanbases that should avoid that, at least on opening weekend. It's the legs that would be worrisome, but holiday season has been very kind to family friendly movies since Star Wars and Jumanji populated them.

$300 million for each movie would for sure mean a significant loss for Universal, those movies need to make at least $800 million combined to turn ~some profit. Only looking at the set design, the wardrobe and how much time is going to be needed for post production (i.e. VFX), Universal is putting MONEY on this movie, we better secure our tickets for our girlie. Can't wait, personally (although I selfishly want a new album before Thanksgiving 2024).

Based off name recognition alone, is Beyonce and Shakira on the same level globally?
I'm most likely biased being from Latin America, but Shakira feels inmensely bigger here than Beyoncé. Heck, probably bigger than anyone other than MJ and Madonna. Like, all of us have heard (willingly or not) at least one of her maybe 30 classics, and she's been in the business for so long that we know most of the things she's done or been through. Petty stuff like the Antonio De La Rúa and Gerard Piqué's breakups are now literally embedded in pop culture around here. However, I think the most similar data we have to measure "name recognition" globally would be the Google Trends posted a few pages back, even considering how flawed it is.

Has your fav given another artist their first top-10?
- Back to Basics vs. 4 vs. The 20/20 Experience
I just feel like she could've shelved one of those, they're too similar. Especially being one after the other in the tracklist.- Libianca from Ariana’s Season of The Voice getting a hit. Surprised?
The song is AMAZING- Adele's 30 below 21 and 25 on Billboard 200. Why?
It's not streaming friendly and they dropped the ball with the singles. Like, half the songs are 5 minutes long which is almost unheard of in this day and age.- Back to Basics vs. 4 vs. The 20/20 Experience
20/20 is literally skipless in my book, and the album version of Mirrors is just chef's kiss. However, Christina's commitment to B2B was unparalleled, and I think it just hits some of her highest higs, while the less memorable parts of the album are just meh (looking at you, Without You/On Our Way). I mean, Understand, Makes Me Wanna Pray, Slow Down Baby, Still Dirrty, Ain't No Other Man, Hurt, Candyman, Save Me From Myself, I Got Trouble and Mercy On Me are 10 undeniable bangers. I didn't connect with 4, and while I find Love On Top to be a fun song, it isn't enough (for me) to lift enough the rest of the album. Especially when she easily topped it with BEYONCÉ. tldr: B2B and Hurt slightly over Mirrors.- Throwback: Do What U Want Live with Christina Aguilera
This stage has never been gayer. What do y'all think? Did you like it? What was your reaction at the time?- Christina Aguilera
We need Welcome Back 2 Burlesque in 2026, I'll keep saying it.- Xtinas Bionic medley at the MTV movie awards.
She performed it twice, once on The Voice (screeches still scarring me) and once on Ellen (the better performance).- Ariana Grande
Sc**t*r should try to push some album cuts ala The Weeknd reviving Starboy tracks while she's Glinding- Xtina: Hurt vs Britney Spears: Everytime
I guess to promote the digital-only album? There's a lot about her latest project that just doesn't make any sense. Hurt not being part of her latest European dates was just ridiculous. She sang like four additional songs for the Mexico concerts but NOTHING for Europe? I would like to have a word with her.- Xtina: Hurt vs Britney Spears: Everytime
Beautiful is just easier to sing than those other two (and bigger and more iconic lbr). She has said she doesn't sing Hurt because it's too high all the time (Kelly Clarkson show). You could counterpoint that she sang The Voice Within and has put out /and promoted) harder songs to sing than Hurt and You Lost Me, but she was definitely struggling to sing those in full even when they came out, so I see her reasoning. I don't agree with it, because she could've included it in The X Tour and that random ass arena show in the UK but alas.- CNN reports on ‘Flowers’ success
Deserved for the soon-to-be Record and Song of the Year nominated song.- Pink mentions Xtina AGAIN on Instagram post
I think the whole point of Fighters calling her out this time is the fact that she claims that "they're good, moved on" and all of that, while going out of her way to single Christina out in order to shade her. "There were some personalities, Mya and Kim were nice," she knew what she was doing, she was called out. What I think Pink fans are missing out is the fact that every single interview afterwards picked up on that and, instead of her supposedly reiterating that "they've moved on", she keeps on adding details to fire up the discourse and the proceed to play the victim in an Instagram apology while promoting the album. I actually applaud her for promoting Trustfall whatever it takes, it's something I wish Christina did, but alas.- Christina Aguilera
So after Viña I thought of what I would do if I were in charge or her management and obviously it's time to cement her as an icon in the markets and industries that still support her the most: 1. At least one tour date in Bogotá, Lima, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Río, Caracas, Santo Domingo, CDMX and Monterrey. Minimum, and dust off the instrumental for Mi Reflejo songs. It's unacceptable that she doesn't sing Ven Conmigo (Solamente Tú). (1.1. I would actually tape the CABA show and invite Nathy, Becky and Nicki to sing PMM and Tini to sing Suéltame, and the CDMX show to tape Hoy Tengo Ganas de Ti with Alejandro and Cuando Me De La Gana with Cristian, she can summon them. And sell the whole thing to Netflix or Prime Video, even HBO Max). 2. Release AGUILERA in physical, it's ridiculous that a pre-digital era artist is not taking advantage of people nowadays buying f***ing cassettes. I would go one ste further and make it Deluxe with all the collabs we know she has in her damn thumb drive. 3. Shop her around for a limited series or a guest stunt on a comedy. But acting, not just singing. 4. Hire a good comedy writer to draft Burlesque 2, there's enough time to write, rewrite, shoot, post produce, record an OST, promote and release the whole damn thing before 2026, the 15th anniversary of the original. Sony will make this movie, their non-Spiderman slate is depressing.- The Weeknd f/ Ariana Grande - "Die For You (Remix)"
Her voice sounds SO much like musical theater, the Wicked OST is gonna eat. I already loved DFY so this is just the icing on the cake.- Crowd wants Xtina back on stage, booes presenters
It was very basic for a 2023 festival in Chile mostly watched by non fans, and with so many other songs to choose from (songs from Mi Reflejo are a staple in Latin American radios, or at least in northern South America), as well as a full-length Spanish album to pick from, she still sang CHUD, Bionic, Vanity and... Express? It seems odd. I guess you can make the case for a setlist like that for her own sold out arena shows on the weekend, but for a festival it should've been more Mi Reflejo/Aguilera/KGB oriented than Billionaires Tour/The Xperience repeat. Just my two cents, even though I still enjoyed it for what it was.- Latin America Trolls Adam Levine after Xtina slays Viña Del Mar
She really made no effort outside of Falsas Esperanzas, huh? Lazy ass b*tch - Back to Basics vs. 4 vs. The 20/20 Experience
