What's funny about this thread is that the only reason Mayhem Requiem exists is because Apple Music paid her a fat cheque to do a live album that would be an Apple Music exclusive to promote the platform. So Gaga really won more than anyone in this situation

West End Girl. I am sooooo so happy that Lily has made a good album again. It took her 16 years but I've been praying for her to make a good album since It's Its Not Me, It's You and it's finally here. And it hits hard. It's totally savage. she does things best when she has a lot to say and boyyyyyyy does she have a lot to say in this one!

I don't really see the point of banning variants. Sales are measured by how many copies are sold, not how many individual people buy a copy of the album. Radio however, should not even come into the formula whatsoever. I think the UK's formula for album measurements is probably the most perfect out there. I'm sure the 3~ top most consumed songs from an album are excluded from contributing to album units sold, so that one smash hit or a few singles don't inflate album units when no one is actually listening to the other tracks.

It's just the chronically online OGHs that are trying to push the narrative that Gaga has not made a good / successful album since TFM. Ignore them. the sales and acclaim say otherwise. Chromatica is an incredible pop album and they know it deep down

They just don't create the mass appeal music. Look at Doja / Nicki's peaks for example, they created pretty basic pop music and smashed with it. If we had a black girlie releasing music like Sabrina Carpenter they would no doubt smash with it also

I think the Hive are missing the point here. The tickets may have been sold to scalpers initially but now that they are relisted at the price of a popeye's combo, the actual consumer still does not want to pay for them That is not a good look for her future touring career
