  3. Not really. I'm an older millennial so I was already an adult in the early 2000s.
  4. 1982. The same year as Onika.
  5. "Dance 4 U" was not an official single but it got lots of airplay on urban radio.
  6. Joe Biden. But most people will blame the woman of color. Joe Biden's job was to be a bridge candidate and to serve for one term only until his ego got in the way. It was too late for the Democrats to have an actual primary to test and vet candidates for a general election. Kamala Harris did great, especially seeing as though this has never been done before. She had only 100 days to sell her message. Lets not continue the ordeal of not putting blame where it belongs. Joe Biden knew democracy was at stake and did nothing to guarantee a victory. That was HIS job as sitting President of the United States, not hers.
  7. Millennials of course!!! Look at our stars, they have talent. Gen Z will make a bum off the streets a superstar.
  8. "Survivor" peaked at #2. It was blocked by "All for You" by Janet Jackson.
  9. She will be 42 in a few months. I don't care for her at all but this ageism needs to stop. Aging is something we all will experience if we are lucky.
  10. wondering if Shaboozey's performance at the BET awards will help him reach number one in early to mid July?
  11. but he has ties to Beyonce. And Texas Hold Em did well there
  12. "Lose Control" has been exploding on urban radio. Surprised it took this long. He sounds like a black man. Kinda weird how urban radio has not embraced Shaboozey quite yet
  13. Is this our new main pop girl? She's a beauty!
  14. I work in Human Resources and I see women in a whole new light. They are behind 99% of the workplace drama and talk too damn much.
  15. one is commercial, one is acclaimed. When you are acclaimed, you can afford to take breaks. When your music is microwavable, you have to drop every year. The public has indeed spoken.
  16. You forgot "Bed" and "The Light is coming"
  17. fellow stan, you have to speak for yourself lol. "Cuff It" is a remarkable song for fans and the GP alike.
  18. She went from collaborating with Beyoncé to Sexxy Red. Wow. The trajectory of this woman's career is something else.
  19. Most people are not catching the historical significance of "American Requiem.” It sets the tone for the whole album as it is basically looking at America and it's culture through the lens of a black woman. "Requiem" is another word for funeral. Her album basically is a tribute to the history of American music. She is basically stating if we reject many of the original notions of America being a place of acceptance and diversity then we are technically engaging in its funeral, hence "American Requiem.”
  20. Sasha Fierce came out in 2008. 16 years ago, but yes, huge accomplishment.
  21. Flamenco is that girl to me
  22. 3. Break My Soul, Cuff It, Alien Superstar
