Yeah I saw that too. It's unfortunate to see how many people who had to endure ridiculous corporate nonsense defend it now, especially with Boomers and Gen X (hopefully, finally) being phased out of positions of authority. I can't tell you how many times my fellow coworkers benefited from me being a young person in a position to help affect change bc of the different comittees for policy and union groups I was a part of. Like imagine not being able to listen to any music? Being able to use your phone at all? I'd cede things like "two headphones can certainly be considered unprofessional, but one earphone/airpod shouldn't be a problem bc it still allows them to hear what's going on + the office isn't subjected to one loud music player entertaining everyone. It was common sense. But there was so much pushback bc "it wasn't how we did it". Baby, break the cycle of generational trauma lol.
