Katy's music is fun and far more interesting than the generic songs from many other pop singers worldwide-in the usa.
The problem is her reputation. It's in the gutter.
She needs some kind of really good PR—a total cleanup, like Gaga did in 2014–2015 after the Artpop era disaster


I don't think katy cares that much at this point. She's dating someone really hot-powerful, and her net worth is reportedly $300–400 million.
She also went to outer space-crossed the karman line. Imagine being able to experience something like that in your life and not dying in the trip
Something that only a small number of humans have ever achieved.
Shes selling arenas with her catalogue even with her huge flops. Thats impressive

One thing we can say is that Katy had all the goodwill and hype for a comeback, and she completely wasted it with the Dr. Luke situation and her bad decisions. Because today, she could've had another smash hit and an album with solid sales and some sort of momentum-recovery
Very sad situation career wise She had two chances of recovery after witness and she wasted them. Katy is not the brightest tbh

The best thing she can do now is not abandon her music like Xtina did. Keep releasing music and records-eps, but stop coming out with those corny empowering anthems. Show that there's real talent there. Show sadness, anger, and smart songwriting. If she goes commercial try something new instead of the typical. I think there's a chance for her to have a good fanbase like kesha and so many legacy ats

She's pretty much a legacy artist now.

Her pre-Witness discography is filled with Pop classics so I won't be surprised that more songs go viral and have a resurgence like TOTGA in the future. Her old hits will also help her continue to sell out arenas for the rest of her life so she will always be fine.

But ultimately, no matter how hard her fans try to convince themselves otherwise, all of that will never do anything for the current state of her career. And no, she's not talented enough to get a Cher, Tina Turner or Mariah's comeback so forget it.

Yeah, I wouldn't count out any artist for having a potential future hit because social media now works in a weird way that even the least streamed songs from the least streamed album can go viral and become a mega hit.
