I've just finished this, it was so fun now I need another show with that vibe

That show is so amazing, and very re-watchable. I love the evolution the characters go through.

I can't think of anything that really resembles it. The Middle is also about poor(er) people, but the characters and sense of humor are very different-

Absolutely phenomenal show. Such REAL emotions and great performances by the cast. It does have it's flaws but the characters are just so lovable that you look past it.

The emotional moments makes you "laugh through the tears" and the only show I've described that matches that phrase is Modern Family.

Modern Family, Schitt's Creek are both highly recommended from my side.

I love this show. I can recommend 2 Broke Girls, The ***** at Apartment 12, and Hot in Cleveland. They give me the same vibes as The Mom.

Ohhhhhh! Schitt's Creek is a great recommendation too. A different flavor but same kind of emotional joy. Season 1 is a slow build with a few great moments but season 2 onwards find it's footing and really goes for gold.

I didn't finish the last season. Anna leaving pissed me off

No shade i think prime and good sitcoms era is over for a while unfortunately so i don't have anything new to offer.

Adults is a really good new sitcom imo, but I agree they are definitely becoming more difficult to come by.

Anna Faris is the queen of comedy — truly irreplaceable.

I wish I could give a recommendation similar to this show, but I have to say, what a truly remarkable show. I started watching around 2019 and what was initially just background noise for distraction turned into a newborn love for a very raw story about drug addicts. This show wonderfully balances the pain of dealing with addiction and the humor of a sitcom and it only makes the raw moments hit much harder. I think the actors are phenomenal and truly sell the narrative, especially Allison Janney, who can act in quite honestly anything and make you feel her words. I think this show hit way too close to home and seeing a different outcome to what I witnessed in my life made me have closure in ways I never thought I'd see. It has since become a comfort show for me. I don't think I've come across another sitcom that presents these kinds of topics similarly in my opinion.

My local Comedy Central is currently airing The Goldbergs. It's a lot of seasons, but it's so funny with a lot of heart.

Allison Janney has a lot of real life experience with this topic. Basically she had a brother who she was very close to. He was an alcoholic and basically died because of that. There are interviews where she talks about it and she gets emotional even years after it happened.
