Same. I did an 80s playlist last year and all I keep hearing is the same songs. Restarting the playlist does nothing.

Check Settings --> Playback --> Shuffle style. Not sure if it helps, but worth checking out

You can now adjust the shuffle in settings

you could let your songs be manually shuffled by a blind, deaf ape and the results would still be better than apple music's shuffle

I had to limit how many Taylor songs i use because i would hear them daily, i went back to YT Music and cussed out Spotify on the exit survey

Agreed. It's not a real shuffle.

They always queue the songs you will likely not skip based on your listening stats.

Not only do individually select each song on my AM playlist to avoid **** like this, but it seamlessly blends my songs into one another for a great listening experience! Spotify get off the floor!

You need to add Gracie Abrams discography in that playlist. It will fix all of your concerns

Winamp never did this algorithm bs because it was based on true randomizing

both spotify and AM shuffle will favor songs that are preloaded. when you have a big library it can't have 2000 songs on the go, but it will keep a bunch that you have listened to recently. so when you hit shuffle in a playlist OR the whole library, you get at least a couple of songs that were played recently or added to your library recently bc they don't have to be retrieved from the cloud. it's worse on mobile but i think pc apps may also be guilty of this.
