I recently created a 40 hour playlist and I listen to it daily, I swear I keep hearing the same songs constantly and other ones don't ever get a chance to shine. The other day it played Britney's Overprotected and Overprotected Darkchild Remix back to back and now it played Madonna's Back That Up To The Beat separate versions back to back. Out of 40 hours of music!!! Seriously it is one of the worst shuffle experiences I've ever had.

An algorithm for "knowing what your ass is craving" for shuffle is crazy!!! Literally!!!

You're right - I hate that about Spotify. I have 2000 songs and the same 200 are on loop

They also did something with the shuffle

If I decide to play song that's about to come up it will play that but it will keep the same queue of songs instead of reshuffling them. You have to play another album or playlist to get it an entire new shuffle queue going

Imagine adding songs to a playlist and then getting mad when the playlist plays those songs

I think you can now change this in the settings i had the option the other day ???

It's about daily experience. I listen to a max of 3hours a day especially during my commute to work and back. It's just always the same

Which version are you using? Check what kind of shuffle you have, there's the normal one and another that recommends songs similar to the ones in your playlist.

Btw the shuffle on AM is worse. You play literally any song from any genre and you end up listening to 2017–2019 hits.

Indeed. If I restart the playlist, I still tend to get the same songs!!

Hey! I had the same problem and thankfully I was able to resolve it by blocking Tate McRae on Spotify. Hope this helps!

I'm old and pretty much solely play albums. Playlists are a little treat for when I'm feeling crazy :3

It's my own playlist. I don't do the recommended bs.

Spotify is so **** it plays the same songs over and over AM is so much better

YT is good at recommending similar songs too

Not much better on AM I stg after like 3 songs it plays either Party 4 U or New Rules without fail.

I think I remember about 5 years ago or so reading something about them changing how shuffling was done, so that instead of a true organic shuffle experience, it factors in the songs you play the most and prioritizes those with heavier weight than the other songs.
