Personally I prefer something in that vibe rather than half-baked "Ride" which is relying only on the sample. It is pity because "Ride" had potential if they worked more on it, the final version is giving slightly elevated Drag Race song.

Wish Automatic was longer tho, but curious to hear it, hoping for good melodies and strong chorus

I love Ride, I think the outro is euphoric. I will stream Jessie either way, I don't get the sudden demands for innovation by several ATRLers who thought she was garbage up until WYP?

It's way too short, we needed a proper bridge and final chorus.

Well "Automatic" started and finished.

This song desperately need some time to breathe, from the spoken intro straight into first verse, no proper bridge, no final chorus

What a pity, I really dont understand this type of production choices.

They spend so much time creating a track just to deliver something which doesn't fulfill its potential

The soundscape is most pleasing to my ears. Do I like/want the clubby, cunty vibe more, technically? Yes. But the album is all so lush and unique; anyone can make (and is doing) the electronic stuff, but she's going in a different direction. Timelessness, babes 🤌🤌

I do agree with you, @mike_int , that the songs aren't quite breathing enough. It was the same on TFG, where she shortened them a little too much... whereas the lengths of WYP were almost all perfect. The instrumentation is all so rich and layered. I wish we heard that more and it had time to grow throughout the song.. vs. trying to make them shorter for (what seems like) commercial/streaming purposes?
