Finally listened and both SOAW and GL are great, yall were not lying GL does have that 'classic that's been around for decades' feel, nothing groundbreaking but it doesn't need to be. A silly gay bop, an empowerment anthem and a gorgeous power ballad as a bonus is a nice result from this project, I think she nailed it.

I felt this way about Vanish Into You initially, but then grew to love it.

Interesting that you forgot the Tiny Desk performance and Times Square surprise concert on top of a gigantic red heel.

Say what you want about SOAW but that chorus is really catchy and infectious. I thought the chorus was repetitive and lazy but I keep humming that melody out of nowhere

Amish is the only anomaly to me. The song has Gaga signature all over it. I can recognize its great production, lyrics and especially that explosive chorus. That song is undeniably Gaga. However, I just can't bring myself to love it and I truly don't know why. Perhaps because the strongest hook of it is 1:1 with Bad Romance's that I subconsciously felt disappointed she couldn't create another catchy melody to attach to the song? I don't know. I don't have to love anything she does, anyway.

My only complaint about the chorus is the repetitive 'shape of, shape of'. The 'see the fire in her eyes' part and on is actually great. Despite that, yes the 'shape of shape of a woah woah woman' part is catchy as hell and been playing in my head since that scene leaked

Seeing how hard Warner is payola'ing that other song and snatching almost all NMF playlists, safe to say it will get TTH cover too.

If SOAW can get a Top 5 slot, that would be good enough.
