Her spotify streams are bad but i think it's something business related with Spotify that other artists are doing and she's paying dust. Certain artists i won't name have surged in the last two years out of nowhere.

One example is Halo, it used to be the most streamed female song of the 00s and had huge daily/recurrent streams up until a few years ago.

if them throwback popcorn dance pop from other artist can get millions of stream but Beyonce classic dance pop songs like single ladies and others not blowing up on streaming is fishy. I always knew playlisting and autoplay is the result of all those streams because there is no way.

texas being the only song from the trilogy that got the most recurrent streams is insane.

a bit of everything for sure. her spotify beef and tidal shenanigans resulting in bad blood with the platform, her age, ignoring every country that isn't the US, UK or France for a decade straight, her lack of singles, her lack of visibility during active eras, her/parkwood being cheapskates who don't wanna pay for playlisting… But if nothing else at least her classic hits should be getting good streams, which they don't.

yes streams aren't all that and as long as she can tour stadiums she'll be fine bla bla bla but it's not like having your albums chart is a bad thing. and her streams simply shouldn't be as bad as they are. like she shouldn't have the same amount of 1B songs than Xtina there's also no reason anyone could come up with to excuse both of her recent albums doing lemonade numbers…

Well for starters, latin american listeners are in its own category compared to everywhere else. They use Spotify free and mainly listen to whatever is playlisted, and seeing that Shakira constantly collabs/trend hops with everything that is act that is big on streaming, it makes sense why she's getting big streams.

Shakira would never go back to her Alt rock sound that made her famous because no one will listen to that.

I'm curious how she's gonna treat the lead single for the album, both BMS and Texas were very on the nose as far as what we expected the sound of the album to be (which then we learned wasn't the case). So I'm wondering if we'll get a very rock sounding single, or will we get a double single ala texas and 16C? Is it even going to be rock? Will we even get a single? Can I even call them singles if she just dumps them on the side of the road? So many questions
