Certain users on this forum have gotten far too comfortable talking **** about Björk's 10th album Fossora, and it really pisses me off. This Christmas, let us come together to celebrate this late-career gem! What are your favourite songs, looks, and moments from the Fossora era?

Sorry, I didn't mean to piss you off like that on the first date of the festive month. Still, Fossora aged like Icelandic fermented shark (not good). The only tracks I use every once in a while is Mycelia which should've been upgraded to a proper album track. 

 

Allow is still one of the best songs ever no matter what these fagurtss say

What kills me are the ones acting like it's similar to Utopia. We are not having the same ears! I know OP is a Utopia hater but I love that album too for what it is even though it was very different. 

Imagine shitting on an album that has aTOPus, Ovule, Her Mother's ****, Fossora, Ancestress, and Victimhood. Hymns, a book of hymns

 

I don't get the hate for this album, it's not her best or magnum opus, and still is another great gem added to her discography. Ovule is still that *****.

I love this album

The forum will hate me for this but it's her best post-Medulla album, though this is coming from someone who thinks Vulnicura is overrated (but still amazing), hates Utopia, and thinks the Biophillia stanning only comes from baby gays who discovered her with that album

 

All my love to Fossora! I'm glad she decided not to go with another album centered around one instrument. Each song feels like it got the treatment it needed. Highlights for me are Ovule, Atopos, and Fungal City. Allow is beautiful, but I don't love when tracks that didn't make it on the previous album get tacked onto the tracklist in the next one. Allow is entirely in the Utopia world.

I will never forget the joy of watching some of these songs at the movie theater with my boyfriend who wasn't really familiar with her music but ended up loving her. 

 

In my head, Fossora is like the closing chapter of the second phase of Björk's career. The first one was until Greatest Hits™, and the second one started around Volta. Can't wait to experience whatever's coming next. Björk never disappoints. 

The album is gorgeous imo. It has a beautiful variety of soundscapes and is still very experimental 300 years into her career. I love how it seems like a perfect conversion of mushrooms into sound. Ancestress is otherworldly
