The problem with artists who want to do a long era these days is if the album is already done and it's just sitting around for months, somehow some way this always happens ie Tate. So disappointing because the music is amazing and she deserves her flowers but on the other hand, she also shouldn't be waiting till next year. That's way too long of a wait if the album has been done since like August/September most likely… sigh she just needs to go ahead and announce it already

this is the third this this has happened. this time she released 3 singles without a preorder, it's actually nonsense. wouldn't the point of a long roll-out be that she'd build up preorders?  I swear she never learns

Agreed. Ultimately, in this day and age, the long rollouts are no longer as beneficial as they once were. 2-3 singles should be the maximum. 

 

I hate this for her because I can tell she has a vision for this project and she wants people to savor the music, but if this is gonna leak, she should move the date up. I respect her wishes, but honestly, I think the delayed rollout hurt Jade's album earlier this year. I don't think doing 4+ singles for one album really helps, unless a single attracts a larger audience. It also hurt Addison's album in my opinion, because even though the album is great, pretty much all the best songs were released in advance.
