Well, it seems obvious that Katy was on the mood board when the aesthetics and vibe for Demi's album was conceived. 

 

Commercially 143 was better received with Worldwide hit, Womans world and club smash Lifetimes being somewhat better received than the singles from It's not that deep. 

143 comfortably made the top ten with 60k opening week while IT's not that deep stalled at 13 with only 26k sold. 

 

So, which album is best for you?

this thread is perfect for trolling but realistically speaking is simple.

 

'it's not that deep' was technically better received than '143' but Katy and Demi both are on huge downfalls.

Katy came from a HUGE peak 

Demi came from a... cute peak 

so Katy is just way bigger to chart worse than Demi if Demi is also flopping hard.  and thats the case for years already.

since both are on a a downfall but Katy was at least truly up there someday. so she has way bigger chart legs. 

 

 

I like both. I think Katy's was more generic and wish she had honed in more in the futuristic sound/look that the 143 era was going for. 

It's Not That Deep is a lot better.

Honestly, I think both albums are fantastic. I enjoyed both in fact let's add Kesha PERIOD to the line up all out of this world music that was misunderstood

It's not that deep is solid piece of work. I really enjoyed her self reflection in songs like Sorry To Myself. 143 on the other hand I'm convinced was written by AI. That must be the reason I haven't listened it a day after its release. 143 is the true successor of Bionic in the sense that both pop stars tried to copy Gaga's aesthetic (BR MV & Enigma) but failed and got panned in the process (jk).

INTD is actually good so it. 

INTD is the better album for sure

 

But Katy did a great job for the live performance adaptation/productions
