So she always had that pop rock chick vibe but her label insisted upon the taylor swift country blueprint and we ended up with whatever her debut album was. But she has since released her version of Wasting All These Tears and it legit served rock chic, I felt like she would've at least cultivated a little loyal fanbase with this sound if released for her debut

    I was a fan since Hey Monday and then I saw her on The Voice and she was such a superstar. That twisted demon Melanie Martinez shouldn't be the most successful singer of that season, it should be Cassadee.

    I didn't know it was the label the one that insisted on the Country route, though? I thought she was into it. If there's any interview where she explains this I'd love to watch.

    Very much so. I loved Hey Monday and I loved her on the voice. Wasting All These Tears was great either way but yeah, I'm glad she's back to pop punk at least.

    I still enjoy the Hey Monday albums, her country stuff is hit or miss for me. I didn't expect the pop punk stuff to last forever since she was young when she started and things change as you get older etc but the country pivot wasn't my favorite lol

    One of THE best The Voice winners ever, her run of performances was special and the public was perched. 

     

    I really thought her country path was mostly her choice, not label's wishes.
