Basically a thread about your supernatural encounters.

I heard the click of my living room light switch last night and the lights went out and I'm all alone here:biblionny:

My bedroom door opened by itself one evening. I was home alone, it was securely shut tight and... it opened by itself, or so it seemed to. There had to have been a force to turn the handle and exert a force. That's the first and only time that ever happened, while I was at home.

It was on a September 11, which is my late aunt's birthday.

Chile my boyfriend is away a lot for work and he didn't believe me when i told him freaky stuff is going on in our house. I keep hearing footsteps when i am alone in the house, doors are shut alone (no wind whatsoever) and more.

One day he called me "why are you making such noise in the kitchen?" he was asleep in the bedroom. I told him i wasn't home. He got out and he was alone but heard heavy footsteps in the kitchen and hanging carkeys fell from the wall hanger right next to him.

The footsteps are so true. Back at my parents house, we would constantly hear footsteps coming from the wooden staircase

The night before the day of my grandmother's death, I had a dream she died. That's the only memory I can think of that seemed supernatural.

Creepier than that sis. It was marble :rip:

I've told my ghost sex story before on here so I don't feel like repeating it cause it's soooo long and detailed and even though I'm bored at work rn it's so many words so instead I'll tell the story about how my bubbie (maternal grandmother) visited me a few years ago in my bedroom in my parents' house…

Spoiler

so I was still in college atp, and it was either 2018 or 2019. I was back in Maryland staying at my parents' house for summer break for a bit, and right underneath my bedroom is the den, and we have a very old upright piano with a bunch of old photos in picture frames on top of it. one of the photos is of my bubbie, when she was in her 20s. it's a very beautiful photo, she looks graceful and intriguing. one of the last nights I was there, I slept tf in cause I had no plans later in the day, and my bubbie visited me when I was waking up. idk how to fully explain. it was sleep paralysis, to some degree, but I saw her face and heard her voice. she didn't look like herself, it was her face in a ghostly gray haze traveling for about 5 seconds on the corner of the ceiling where it meets the wall with the bedroom door. gray on the white paint. she said "hi Joe" and nothing else. I was home alone that day, so I know it was her. now, I was never super close with my grandma. she died when I was 13, in 2010, and she was 92 and a half. my mom's family, they all have kids later in life, so bubbie was about 36 when she had my mom, and my mom was 41 and a half when she had me, the youngest of my family. back to my story though, I was frozen in fear after this happened, but I didn't want to tell my mom cause I know my mom had a very intense and ambivalent relationship with her mom. but the fact that that photo of my bubbie was right underneath me when this happened HAS to count for something…

Spoiler

so awhile later, November 2020 to be exact, I decided to try to summon my bubbie in my apartment in Boulder. now, I usually go back to Maryland for Thanksgiving break but obviously it was COVID times so I stayed in Boulder that November. I remembered Thanksgivings when I was young and always seeing my bubbie at my aunt's house in Baltimore, so I thought it'd be a good time to finally try to contact her again. I had my brother text me a picture of the photo of bubbie that was on the piano in my parents' house, and I lit a candle and closed the blinds. it was still light out, so the light peeked through my blinds, but I was dying to do it so I did it. I said my bubbie's name (Dorothy) and tried to ask some questions, but I compulsively kept pinching my left forearm. to this day I sometimes wonder if that had some significance for my bubbie but I haven't asked my mom yet cause idk how she'd react. maybe I'll ask her next time I see her, which will be this summer. anyway, I didn't see my bubbie's face outside of myself again, but I laid down and closed my eyes and her face came to my mind and she gave me a bright, vibrant smile and waved and disappeared. I opened my eyes and blew out the candle and realized how tired I was. I facetimed my dad the next morning and told him about it and also about the visitation a few years prior and we came to an agreed theory that all my bubbie wanted to say to me was "hi Joe" and nothing else. just a proof that she still existed somehow and wanting to make sure I remembered her. it's crazy. I really wish it was more, I'm still so curious about her and my mom is so reserved when it comes to talking about her. she once told me that her and one of her sisters thought my bubbie was a witch :tornado:

so yeah, not a super crazy one but one that 100% happened to me nonetheless!
