no shade but Yippee is perhaps the worst-received single of her entire career next to RSWM (if you want to count that) and Delusional... no matter how you choose to look at it, it simply did not stick the landing and that's ok! 

However, Kesh cannot afford to be stuck in this lack of british cigarette-coded bops drought when she has a fanbase to satisfy, a tour to sell and an album to promote, so a cute sugar-coated electropop hit to get everyone back on board is the type of course correcting we need rn.

I think it's in everyone's best interest to move to a song that actually targets her fanbase again and looking at how Joyride effortlessly connected amongst the internet, I believe this is the right move.

 

We DO need another music video to tie this era together tho... let's hope she can give us something.
