    Is it? Referring to Beyonces dance style as "just the same old ass shaking" and dismissing African-style dance and dancehall elements as just that does appear coded. And trust some of the same users said way more in the past.

    Add to that the downplaying of the effort and precision that went into creating a truthful HBCU experience in concert form  and the general history of users here and online in terms of racially motivated slurs/nicknames -> can u really blame people (of color!) here to be a bit sensitive?

    Some people love Gaga's performance more even if they understand the culture relevance of what Beyoncé did or her references.

    People already forgot about "Gagachella". It was also really easy to get a concertticket of her show in Amsterdam :rip:

    I mean other than the Paris dates is easy to get Beyoncé's tickets nearly everywhere (and cheaper now because the tour is about the kick off) :katie:

    Bey literally changed the entire expectations that come with a festival performance. Without Beychella in 2018, there would not be a "Gagachella" in 2025. You saw Gagas set the year before Beychella, so its BOLD of you to say that Bey doesnt innovate anything. And that's just the performance aspect.

    U do realize my post was about the scope of the performance in general + that Gagas Coachella gig in 2017 did not impact the Zeitgeist, thus no one referring to that gig as "Gagachella" now?

    Monster ball and Born this way ball tour had an very elaborate theatrics and story to it so you can stop with this narrative. 

    Gagachella is fully focus on theatrics 

    Meanwhile beychella is all about choreo.
