Bringing in Ian Fitchuk and Daniel Kashian ruined her in the long run; it worked for one album, even if two of the best songs on that album were the last bones McAnally and Laird threw her. But keeping them around and doubling down on the new age hippie weed crystal astrology BS may well have been a career-destroying mistake.

 

She did somehow, shockingly, manage to come up with a couple of decent songs on her last project, but her career will continue to be an exercise in diminishing returns as long as she keeps working with those losers and peddling the enlightened farm girl aesthetic. And even if she does wise up and drop that ****, she may never return to the highs of her early work because it seems increasingly likely that she wasn't actually responsible for the things that initially made her seem so promising. 
 

Brandy Clark deserved her career.

Kashit Mukrat has this problem where all her albums since eye-crossed (which has some of the worst mixing of ALL TIME) sound like they were recorded in a tin can. She needs to chill on the shitty reverb effects
