Demi Lovato never disappointed me

Featured Replies

So, between ALL the artists that I'm a fan, having or not 8 albums like her, Demi is the only one that I can't say "It's my least favorite album", because I like all of them similarly,  Unbroken is my favorite One, but after that , from Tell me you love me to (maybe) here we Go again ALL of them are wonderful in similar levels. I can rank them, although I can't say that the last one in the list is my least favorite. That's so truth, Once ALL of her 8 albums are ranked in my top 40 favorite albums.

Obs: not counting revamped

In a contrast, Charlie XCX has 6 Studio albums and 2 mixtapes as her biggest releases, but between ALL of them I'm not a big fan of Charli and How I'm feeling now (mainly) the other six I love

Lana del Rey made 5 masterpiece albums with her First 5 Studio albums,( It would be 6 counting Paradise separated), but her last 3 albuns is not yet in my top 50, and I don't even know where to chart them, because I still didn't got into them.

Artists with less albuns I also can say the álbuns I like the less, like Katy with witness and Bieber with Under the mistletoe an Justice.

I really can't understand why people try to drag Demi and her discography down, since for me she is amazing, I remember How amazed I got listening to TYLM, TAOSO and especially Holy **** that's a wonderful rock, and I didn't here in same Year release.

It can be a weak discography for most people, but I think she does pop and pop rock álbuns Very well. Unbroken, Demi Confident and TYLM was a perfect strike for me of pop records

Do you really think her albums are Bad?

You should talk with ChatGPT. They seem to understand what you're going through:

I totally get what you're saying! Demi's discography might be divisive, but she has consistently put out solid pop and pop-rock albums. "Unbroken" is a fantastic blend of R&B and pop, "Tell Me You Love Me" showcases some of her best vocal work, and "HOLY ****" was an amazing rock reinvention.

I think a lot of the criticism comes from how varied her sound has been over the years—some people prefer one era over another, while others feel like she hasn't had a super defining moment compared to other pop stars. But that versatility is part of what makes her interesting! She does pop and pop-rock really well, and her voice is undeniably powerful.

It's cool that you rank all of her albums in your top 40, though! That just shows how much you connect with her music.

Do you think she has another shift in sound coming, or do you want her to stick with the rock direction?

I can't believe you came for how I'm feeling now in your OP

however, yes I agree that Demi's albums are solid.

Her discography is kinda hit or miss, not because she has bad material but because there isn't enough GREAT material. Demi is very talented and that was known in her teens and I think people placed high expectations on her early vs. her peers because of that. To most, her overall catalog falls short of those expectations. Some might even feel she does too much while still doing too little if that makes sense.

Personally, I can always find at least a handful of songs on an album of hers that I can bop to. It's just that she has to become more consistent and get one great producer who can help her hone a more concrete vision... She's come close a couple of times but no cigar. Maybe she just isn't a visionary and that's okay. It also doesn't help that there's always something going awry in her personal life. That may be impeding her growth as an artist. Idk.

her catalogue has always been very consistent i think she has stronger album tracks than her peers and she knows her strengths well which is ballads and guitar heavy tracks.

She hasn't released a groundbreaking album imo but she always delivers a fantastic single when she needs to i.e remember december, CFTS, GYHAB, substance etc.

Her vocal power is so strong that it does not suit well to track that might more digestible on radio. But her albums have been very consistent and the sales have been consistent as well except for her latest album. But sometimes, it's not up to the artist, maybe the songwriter of hit songs want to give them to the bigger names. I hope she will drop a new album soon.

I disagree. DWTD...TAOSO is her worst album, the album as a whole is stale, I like a few tracks, but it's not comparable with her other albums.

Spoiler

I know many love that one, but #SorryNotSorry :clack:

I mean she never dropped a album I hated and HOLY **** was a masterpiece :clap3:   could be why she's my most played ex act

Demi peaked with self titled as far as whole albums imo…but they do have some decent album tracks scattered on their other albums :bird:

She has FANTASTIC MULTIPLE NON SINGLES in every album, in fact she has a real perfect balance between singles and non singles.

Just like some few example:

Trainwreak

Catch me

In real life

Without the love (should bê single)

Kingdom come

Hitchecker

Melon cake

Happy Ending (that's a real highlight in ALL career)

Yes , I also think she didn't do a visionary album, but she is so versatile in her discography that almost makes me not remembering about that

Love Demi music. I think there's something healing and calming listening to her music.

She didn't disappoint you with the Heart Attack lyrics? I think Demetria is filthy.
