For years, only the MPGs have been the main focus of this forum. I like the unified structure, but do you think it's time to restructure it like some other pop forums, where each MPG has its own section to discuss everything related to them? They could still keep the main Base, but having a separate MPG section would be nice, starting with Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Britney Spears, etc.

What are the names of those other pop forums? I thought ATRL was the last one standing

Go look at the activity on those forums then come back and look at the activity on ATRL. A prettier ui doesn't drive engagement

First, interesting idea, thank you for sharing it. Please consider using ATRL HQ for sharing any future thoughts like this going forward. I will merge this thread there momentarily.
 

My concern is people here come for us (sometimes fairly and with reason) when their favourite artist doesn’t as much as get a banner or if some thread related to them gets closed let alone if we decide they can’t have a subforum. From my perspective we don’t have the capacity or time to deal with managing subforums for specific pop girls and it can unfurl into a lot of work for little if any benefit over our current system. Simple is usually better, so single threads suffices for now.

I only know Pop Justice (doesn't have much activity), Breathe Heavy (started as a Britney forum), and Lipstick Alley (music is not their main focus)

popjustice turns over a reasonable amount - it's wouldn't say it was dying off or anything - but it's not as big as atrl and registrations have been closed forever for reasons that aren't very clear, which probably won't help it long term
