Level Up was both amazing and bad for Ciara - She has been stuck trying to replicate something similar.

Even if this song is GREAT her career is done for. She's released for too many scraps that even I don't understand her artistry anymore. She doesn't seem to have unity with her sound and her inconsistensy has made her uniteresting. She also doesn't have the following she used to have. Her biggest stans turned so many fans away by trying to be super clique-ie last era and I don't think they knew how damaging that would be in result.  It will honestly take a miracle for her to even chart again on the Hot 100.

Anyways, hopefully, a summer tour will be announced soon after the single drops. We just saw her in July for The Out of This World tour but I already can't wait to see her again.

Only reason she was able to tour was because Missy took her under her wing lmao be fr. She doesn't have the stan base anymore to sell out a concert or yet alone fill up a mcdonalds parking lot lol Unless she does a coheadlining tour with Chris Brown or someone who can actually sell tickets.

she was literally selling her rum yesterday in costco, her career is far from being "done for". shes been icon and legacy act for awhile now, which means either you enjoy her release or not, there is no "lets make her happen" anymore because she already made it. its like waiting for madonna to have #1 hit, she can have it, but its not mandatory

Nowadays her looks are carrying her career. Walking red carpet is more interesting than her rollouts… buuut I'm glad it's not another cheesy dance anthem. I think she's had a solid run with her R&B jams. But I think this will be her last hooray. 
 

Nonetheless she's had a solid career and outlived many of her peers and is still drop dead gorgeous.

When I say she's done for I'm saying musically. Sadly that's how the business works. Artists don't do this for funsies. They are doing this to make some sort of profit and I can assure you Ciara has propably spent more money than made some from her music the last 10 years. This will continue to result in low budget lackluster stuff.  Going independent was her biggest mistake, and her independent releases have proven she has no ear for music.

Oh yeah, some her fans are definitely annoying… especially that Brittany girl—so cringe.

 

I really think if her fans were more honest about her musical direction over the past few years (without so much pushback), things might have turned out better. But instead, they defend it with everything they've got, even when it's bad.

 

I also agree that her team, especially after going independent, had no idea what they were doing.

well shes not producing her own stuff like tinashe, she kinda is dependent on others to make music for her

This was so unecessarily negative and passive agressive for no reason. I'm especially surprised from it coming from you too especially. I'm an oh C-Squad member and trust me while I understand your valid frustrations towards Ciara and her decade of inconsistency, delays, sloppy work ethic etc for you to come into this thread of hers with nasty ass energy even though it's been confirmed that the song is actually good and gonna be a serve? Look no one is expecting Ciara to get a billboard hot 100 but everytime we've counted her out she ALWAYS somehow manages to get a hit one way or another. Ride, Body Party, I Bet, Level Up and How We Roll never count the good sis out. And respectfully if you are no longer a fan then just don't support her altogether but to come on with this energy was very weird and personally very disappointing coming from you. Ciara fans have tolerated alot of abuse over the past decade especially from BeyHive, RihNavy and to a degree the Barbs and because of that we're usually on the offensive. It's both PTSD and a comping macanism that we have after her commercial decline made her a punching bag for other fandoms.
